I've been seeing a lot of this and it's been getting on my nerves, so let me just make something clear to you all.

Post the name of a Pokémon and a STAB move it can learn which will, in battle, have a type advantage over the previous poster's Pokémon.

Definition of STAB:
Same-type attack bonus - a 1.5x multiplier applied when a Pokemon uses a damaging move that has the same type as the Pokemon using it.

YES: Typhlosion used Flamethrower
- A classic example. Since the move's type (Fire) matches up with Typhlosion's type (Fire), the base power of Flamethrower is boosted from 95 to 147.5.
YES: Stunfisk used Mud-Slap
- The move may be weak, but it still deals damage. And since its type (Ground) matches one of Stunfisk's types (Electric/Ground), the STAB multiplier is applied.
NO: Houndour used Smog
- Houndour is a Fire/Dark type, whereas Smog is Poison-type, so the STAB bonus is not applied.
NO: Stunfisk used Mud Sport
- While the types do match up, Mud Sport is a non-damaging move, so STAB cannot be applied because it doesn't make any sense.
NO: Gyarados used Fly
- Again, the types match up, but everyone knows that Gyarados cannot learn Fly to save its skin.
NO: Pikachu used Hydro Cannon
- Don't even get me started on this one.

Alright? Have I made myself clear this time? Good.
