Discuss all things on TV here!

:::Rules:::
•No favorite discussion! Please, don't tell us your fav TV show. Half of us don't need to know care.
•No lists! Please don't give us a list of everything you watch.
•No spoilers! OMG, please don't post spoilers. It ruins the fun of watching something.

RE: The Thread for TV Discussion

Can we discuss which one is more useful, DVR or Tivo, or any other device that can record TV?

RE: The Thread for TV Discussion

I meant 'Shows', lol :p Not the actual TV.

This is a great idea for a thread; I don't see TV discussion a lot anymore.
Anyway, I found a channel that actually runs the old 1980's Transformers TV series every night, so now I record it on my DVR. :p

Great idea, TDL. It's funny- I was going to post a 'Glee' thread, but I decided that it'd be kind of pointless considering no new episodes until early February. Ah well, I may post one anyways, as there's still much to talk about the popular show and it wouldn't all fit in this thread without being a mess, with its large fan base an' all.

You watch Glee too? The last episode Australia showed was the wedding episode. The new season of how i met your mother was advertised for us, i couldn't wait a couple of months ago, so i watched episode 1 and 3, lol at Barney's high 6. Apparently this is season has more plot changes.

I'll post TV.com's Top 100 Shows every Friday to add some discussion, and see what's being watched atm.

I'm glad to see Family Guy and Glee at the spots they are (#33 and #14, respectively), but I'm surprised by SNL's rating of #87. It deserves to be in the top 40 at the very least- it's a legendary show. I'm appalled that Hannah Montana even made the list, clocking in at #89, because the acting, script, and plot is all so forced. It's dry and done to death even for a Disney show. Whatever, though. It's what keeps the kid's eyes glued to the TV, I suppose. What ever makes the malicious fantastic Disney company money (yeah, because as we all know- Disney needs moar money).

I'm glad Chuck is at #35 and Fringe is at #11. Those are what I watch most on television.

Also, at SNL's placement, it may be because of it's timespot. Things like that are key factors when it comes to a show being watched.

I'm happy the following are in the top 40 How I Met Your Mother, NCIS: Los Angeles, The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Burn Notice, Lie to Me, Two and a Half Men, Family Guy.

But most of these shows have actually stopped because for where i live it's non ratings period.

I'm not sure if Modern Family, Lie to me and Burn notice if these are bigs shows in the US, but they seem really unique and i can't wait for Burn notice to return.

Wow simpsons, 47? I guess the original seasons were where it was funny, now most of what The Simpsons is now the same childish sort of antics.

Dragonball Z FTW.
I am disappointed, but not surprised by, these results. I'm glad to see classics like The Simpsons and Family Guy still rank high.

Is anyone watching Ninja Warrior on G4? I just found that show and find it interesting.

has anyone been watching 'V', there are rumours that they'll be broadcasting S1 in the Netherlands, where i live, and it looks impressive. But I really don't want to wast a lot of hours to be dissapointed like I was when I saw the ending of FlashForward...

Yeah why not, i loved the latest one,

Zack (Who's an idiot): Wow this place is awesome(The Comic book store). Where do they keep the Archies?
Sheldon: In the bedrooms of 10 year old girls, where they belong.

Zack: You know i saw this great thing on the discovery channel, it turns out that if you kill a Starfish it'll just comeback to life.
Sheldon: Was the starfish wearing boxer shorts because you might've been watching Nickelodeon.

After seeing people robbing a car the group are dressed in super hero costumes.

Howard: Check it out those guys are breaking into that car.
Leonord: What should we do?
Sheldon: We're the Justice league of America, there's only one thing we can do. Turn around and slowly walk away.

Anyway, some people might think it's an overrated show, but I don't think so because i believe whoever plays sheldon one an Emmey's for his role, that probably made it popular for after the Emmey's.

What about

Leonard: What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?
Sheldon: Screwed.
Leonard: There you go.

Yeah i laughed so hard at that bit.

I remember when they met the person who negated Pluto's classification as a planet

Sheldon: If "If's and buts" were candy and nuts, we'd all have a merry christmas.

I think he deserved that Emmy his Bazinga's and humor is pretty funny, that show deserves high status.

Oh yeah and

Sheldon: Hey Howard i love your shoes, where'd you get them.
Howard: What?!
Sheldon: Bazinga! I don't care.

And Sheldon's drunk speech in season 3 was hilarious.
