The UK General Election. Disscus it live as the Results come in! It looks like a Hung Parliment.

To be honest, I was hoping for a Lib Dem government...

However, joining another party wouldn't be too bad since they'd get some power.

Yeah, I logged on as Gordon Brown because I was bored. Then I did David Cameron in a new tab.

Guilible people ;]

Anyway. Labour needs to get a co-elision magority.
lol, I was really gullible, my bad. [/sarcastic]

:p
In my option all of the candidates are pretty crap :L
Nick Cleggs to quite, Gord Brown is abit of a idiot and David Cameron is a pompous t word.
Only my opinion though ;)

I think Alan Johnson (the Home Secratary) would be a much better leader than Gordon Brown.

Yeah that basically sums it up.

I would'nt mind a LIB LAB government.
As long as it's not conservative.. >.>

It's pretty much as kashmaster said. Same old tories... they're like robin hood, only the opposite.
Rob from the poor to make the rich richer. D:

I would have voted labour had I be entitled to a vote. Don't like the tory attitude of making the rich richer, and I don't really blame labour (or for that matter gordon brown) for the economic crisis the country has faced / is facing. Looks like its going to be a tory minority government though, whether the Lib Dems meet their conditions or not.

I would have voted Conservative if I was given the chance. Conservative and Liberal Democrats would be a better goverment than the Labour we've had for too many years. Britain needs change!

I'm not being racist but Conservative are the only ones that don't just let immigrants into our country, Conservatives seem to be doing the most change. They will be lowering tax rates, making school standards higher, getting britain out of a economic disaster (otherwise it would lead onto a economic depression), getting british people their jobs back (which is why so many people voted for them), increase health services by funding in them more often and raise pensions.

I don't think they only care about the rich people.

Uh, no.

They say they will do something about immigration to make the public happy. Schools will get less funding as with Conservative plans ordinary people will be able to make schools. This takes money away from the overall education money pot with less for normal schools. It would not get Britain out of economic disaster (we aren't in a reccesion and there is no way it would become a depression). Their plans are to reduce spending which means public sector job losses (cutting the budget there by 5(?) billion), ie teachers, doctors, nurses. Labour (and the rest of the world) say that cutting spending would be a bad idea as job losses never gets you out of recession and the economy needs to be stimulated. Frankly, the Conservatives use scare-mongering tactics by saying that we will become like Greece, which is 110% untrue. The Tories will scrap child tax credits making it even harder for young families to have money to spend on nursery fees and bills.

Conservative's only caring for rich people is nothing but a stereotype. Even if that was true, that was many years ago when Margaret Thatcher was Prime Minister, I assure you that Cameron's goverment will not replicate Thatcher's. We've seen what Labour can do and it's not good, UK went into recession aswell as a lack of justice in street crime cases. Conservative's I'm sure will bring what is needed and fix what has been done.

If Gordon Brown cared that much for Labour, he would step down right away. Since Nick Clegg and Gordon Brown really don't get along, appointing a new temporary Prime Minister who can negociate with Nick Clegg would be a much wiser move. But Brown has announced he will be stepping down sometime around September, which I'm sure we will have a goverment by then.

Everyone can mock Gordon brown as much as they want, but he was actually a good prime minister. Too many people want so much from a prime minister that its just impossible to implement such rules. Especially if you are trying to recover from the recession.

It is just everyone is impatient and then there are people like Cameron who cheaply scare others with 'We are turning into Greece' threats. The fact is, if we were under his government, we would probably fulfil those threats. He wants to reduce spending at a vital climax into recovery.

Whom ever said they will make education better is wrong. He is deciding to cut spendings in important sectors such as NHS, education etc. Why would anyone do something so silly? This is why many have come to the conclusion that he only cares about the rich who can afford health care, private education. Whilst us 'common' people will have to do with whats left of our soon to be crumbling public sector.

Yes, but their plan is to put a cap on the amount of people allowed into the country. What if people are fleeing from their country because of violence or a natural disaster?

And now, Gordon Brown has stood down as Prime Minister. I wonder who th enext Labour leader will be. I reckon David Miliband...

Perhaps this government will finally do something about the immigration of unwanted people into to United Kingdom. I wish good luck to PM Cameron. I hope he will turn his country around and make the UK for ethnic British once and for many.

hopefully loving of the British,

Good luck to David Cameron, I think that Nick Clegg is deputy as well. I don't know how it will work, both of the parties disagree with each other one one thing: Britain getting the Euro.

I find this comment somewhat racist.

New government doesn't look too bad. We'll have to see how things turn out.

The new government has been in power for like 3 days xD. I dont think we can form a judgement yet.
