I was browsing through the next set and I came across this Pokemon:

Parasect LV.30 - Grass - HP80
Stage 1 - Evolves from Paras

[C] Nutritional Support: Choose up to 2 Grass Energy cards from your deck, and attach them to your Pokemon in any way you like. Shuffle your deck afterward.
[G][G][C] Knock Out Spore: 40 damage. The Defending Pokemon is now Asleep. In between turns, your opponent flips 2 coins to check for Sleep, and unless both coins are heads, the Pokemon remains Asleep.

Weakness: Fire (+20)
Resistance: none
Retreat Cost: 1

Read his first attack. Remind you of a certain Pokemon from SW? If Dark decks can afford to use it why not grass decks?

but the big difference that makes Weavile better is that there are Special Dark energys that when attached to a Dark type Pokemon add more damage. Sure powering up powerhouses like Torterra faster is good, Weavile in a Dark deck will be better.

the 'sect is nothing new. Look at exeggutor sw. He's a good tech to use with sceptile GE

Well this will be around after the rotation next year unlike Weavile and Exeggutor. BTW the Exeggutor is in MT.

Actually there's no rotation for next year. How did you not know that by now? There was an online party.

Well, this thing needs an energy to GET energy. Weavile requires no energy to attach energies(that can be special), has a good Power(unlike Parasect, who has no Poke-Power), and a better attack, IMO.

Parasect has potential, yes, but in any other deck, Weavile is better.

Agreed. Plus there are lots of grass energy accelerators. Such as leafeon and Sceptile.

Maybe a combo with tangrowth X is in order for when you don't want to waste space on Scepty and rare candies? I saw this grass charger too and liked him, especially since grass pokemon like lots of energies.

Also not that Weavile has free retreat... Parasect does not.

If you're looking for a grass accelerator, though, this is obviously the superior choice.

What I mean by not playable is, do you see grass deckls winning tornaments? That's because almost all of them require too many energy to attack.

beedrill? Maybe im missing something but isnt beedrill a grass deck that only requires MAYBE 9 energy total? If that?

This guy is exactly like Parasect FRLG. nothing really special, Exeggutor does the same for no energy. but if he had a power to turn your active grass, he would be the grass weavile.

Fails to Weavile in every single way including Retreat Cost and needing Energy to attack. Weavile is still the best Energy accelerator, although, of course little kids who play Grass will love this.

dmaster out.

No, I mean NEXT NEXT year. When this actually comes out.

This comes out in SV, SV comes out this fall, no rotation, Weavile outclasses this. Most [G] decks won't really need the acceleration anyway.

The big problem is that the attack requires energy to use. That slows down energy acceleration more than Weavile does... it can still be a good card, though. It will be interesting.

I'm sure the energy blow shaymin or any cards like electivire (SW) will benefit from gain that 2 colourless cost that they don't have to discard
