Now, doesn't this look familiar? If you're wondering why, this kind of ability has been seen for a very long time now, starting in the Sandstorm expansion with Wobbuffet's Safeguard Poké-BODY. Since then, 13 Pokémon have had Safegaurd. And in the thick of that, we got Rapidash AR, which had Safeguard for SP Pokémon. Unfortunately, this Rapidash saw no play due to Dialga G Lv. X shutting off its body in SP, and it being useless against Non-SP. Additionally, all its attacks took Fire Energy, preventing it from being really techable. Perhaps the most recent occurrence of such an ability would be Pyroar FLF, which prevented damage from Basic Pokemon. On release, Pyroar was extremely good, but eventually the metagame adapted to it. I'm expecting a similar fate for this Rapidash, but since Blazing Ball doesn't require Fire Energy, it is techable, and something all decks should at least keep in mind.

Enjoy :)

Love the flavour, and Slow Collective is a neat mechanic encouraging the use of both lines, which is nice! I am a bit concerned, however, that Slowbro is stackable. =P

You may use this card only if you have more Prize cards left than your opponent. If you have already played a Supporter card this turn, you may play another one. If any Fame Checker is in your discard pile, you can't play this card.

The Onix line's weakness is weird in this era. Despite being a basic, it has a Weakness of +20 like most stage 1s, so I went with that. As Steelix technically doesn't exist yet, I added a few trainers to pad out the post so I wasn't posting one NFE.

Drowzee HP: 60 [P]
Basic

[C] Lure

Poké-POWER: Kidnap
Once during your turn (Before your attack), you may choose 1 of your Basic Pokémon. Discard all cards attached to it and attach it to Hypno as a Pokémon Tool card. Hypno can use any Attack, Poké-Power, and Poké-Body on that Pokémon (You still need the necessary Energy to use each attack.)

[W][C][C] Ten Thousand Horsepower Punch 100
Flip a coin. If tails, this attack's base damage is 20.

Weakness: [L] +20
Resistance:
Retreat: [C][C]

Kingler has historically been completely useless and unfortunately, there's not much I can do about that. It's dex entries mention that its giant claw can swing with 10,000 horsepower, which is cool and all, but it also mentions it's too heavy and can't aim properly. In fact, nearly all its entries mention that the huge claw is a detriment to it. Poor Kingler :/

Voltorb HP: 50 [L]
Basic
100.png

[C] Charge
Search your deck for a [L] Energy card and attach it to Voltorb. Shuffle your deck afterward.

Voltorb does 50 damage to itself.

Weakness: [F] +10
Resistance: [M] -20

Electrode HP: 80 [L]
100.png
Stage 1: Evolves from Voltorb
101.png

Poké-POWER: Unstable Circuit
Once during your turn (before your attack), if Electrode is your Active Pokémon, you may use this power. If you do, place damage counters on your opponent's Pokémon equal to Electrode's remaining HP. Then, Electrode does that amount of damage to itself. This power can't be used if Electrode is affected by a Special Condition.

[L] Retaliation Current 20+
If Electrode was damaged by an attack during your opponent's last turn, this attack does 20 damage plus 20 more damage.

[L][L] Explosion 150
Electrode does 150 damage to itself.

Weakness: [F] +20
Resistance: [M] -20
Retreat:

Electrode likes to explode! ...and that's all. It's a ball of simple pleasures. So I gave it a few different ways for it to blow itself up to its heart's content!

[C] Call for family
Search your deck for a Basic Pokémon and put them onto your Bench. Shuffle your deck afterward.

Flip 6 coins. This attack does 10 damage times the number of heads.

Weakness: [P] +10
Resistance:
Retreat: [C]

Exeggutor HP: 90 [P]
102.png
Stage 1: Evolves from Exeggcute
103.png

Poké-POWER: Sprout
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may use this Power. If you do, put 3 damage counters on Exeggutor. Then, search your deck for Exeggcute and put it onto your bench. Shuffle your deck afterward. This power can't be used if Exeggutor was affected by a Special Condition.

[P] Egg Bomb 20+
Does 20 damage plus 10 more damage for each Exeggcute on your Bench, plus 20 more damage for each Exeggutor on your Bench.

[P][P] Synthesis
Discard 2 [P] Energy attached to Exeggutor. Remove 5 Damage counters from Exeggutor.

Weakness: [P] +20
Resistance:
Retreat: [C][C]

Exeggutor's Power got inspiration from this Pokédex Entry for it:

It is called “The Walking Jungle.” If a head grows too big, it falls off and becomes an Exeggcute.

This dex entry is odd. A dozen eggs turning into a coconut tree is weird enough, a coconut turning into a dozen eggs is even stranger.

Cubone HP: 60 [F]
Basic

Poké-BODY: Sadness
If you have no Marowak in play, Cubone's Bone Rush attack does 30 damage times the number of heads instead of 10.

[C][C] Bone Rush 10x
Flip a coin until you get tails. This attack does 10 damage times the number of heads.

Weakness: [W] +10
Resistance: [L] -20

Stage 1: Evolves from Cubone

[F] Heavy Club 60

[F][C] Bonemerang 30x
Flip 2 coins. This attack does 30 damage times the number of heads.

Weakness: [W] +20
Resistance: [L] -20
Retreat: [C][C]

I wanted to do something like this with Cubone, but I gave it a flip attack so Cubone Donk wouldn't be too easy to achieve.

Also, I haven't forgotten about the Alolan Pokémon. They'll come later, probably after the Alola natives.

Hitmonlee HP: 80 [F]
Basic
106.png

Poké-BODY: Attack Style
If you have Hitmonchan and Hitmontop in play, Hitmonlee's attacks do 20 more damage to your opponent's Pokémon (before applying Weakness and Resistance).

[F] Kick 20

[F][F] Power Blow 20+
If Tyrogue is anywhere under Hitmonlee, this attack does 20 damage plus 20 more damage.

Weakness: [P] +20
Resistance:
Retreat: [C]

Hitmonchan HP: 70 [F]
Basic
107.png

Poké-BODY: Defence Style
If you have Hitmonlee and Hitmontop in play, Hitmonchan takes 20 less damage from attacks (after applying Weakness and Resistance).

[F] Punch 20

[F][F] Guard Blow 30
If Tyrogue is anywhere under Hitmonchan, reduce all damage done to Hitmonchan by opponent's attacks by 20.

Weakness: [P] +20
Resistance:
Retreat: [C]

These two might be the least affected by the power creep out of any Pokémon. Hitmonlee had 60 HP up until 4th gen, where it was boosted to 80 HP, and then was given just 10 more HP in 6th gen. Hitmonchan started with 70 HP in gen 1, lost 10 HP in gen 2, and went back to 70 HP until 6th gen, where it was boosted to 90 HP along with Hitmonlee.

The inspiration for this card came from how the Hitmons evolved from Tyrogue. Hitmonlee evolves from Tyrogue if it has more attack than Defence, and Hitmonchan evolves from Tyrogue if it has more Defence than Attack. It's pretty neat, actually.

[C][C][C] Rollout 20x
Does 20 damage times the number of consecutive turns Lickitung has used Rollout (If Lickitung becomes your benched Pokémon at any point, the amount of times Lickitung has consecutively used Rollout becomes 0).

Weakness: [F] +20

Retreat: [C][C][C]
