At least IMO. I really enjoyed the one for GBC and it would be cool to use the new series.
Sometimes I play a kind of "challenge", having the opponent's six Pokemon pre-chosen, but only having one card in his/her hand to start. Typically these are derived from the official decks, each deck has three challenges. Example: the Ruby deck's last (and most difficult) challenge has a Torchic, a Makuhita, another Torchic, a Combusken, a Hariyama, and then a Blaziken, and then a Blaziken EX as an added bonus challenge. Of course, the person with the pre-decided Pokemon has other restrictions, like when retreating, you must put out the next Pokemon in the order, rather than being able to choose immediately the most powerful card in the sequence.
I play it with my friends a lot, and it's quite enjoyable. It's just one idea the updated verision could hypothetically use.
