Thoughts on Reuniclus

Reuniclus is a good card. Or is it? Here we can discuss its uses, when it's good and bad, and excellent combinations. Here's the card.

It would be a better card if it weren't for the new Rare Candy rules. As an attacker, it's really not that good IMO since it'll be Mewtwo EX bait. Then again, it can also give that blasted thing a taste of its own medicine. 90 HP is ridiculously low for a Pokemon like Reuniclus, but i love the ability. Better tech than attacker, definetly.:p

O_O there are so many things wrong here...

1 Who cares about rare candy rule...seriously. Deal with the slowerness

2 Everything is Mewtwo EX bait....everything is everythings bait with Catcher out

3 Why would you ever use Reuniclus as an attacker?!

4 It's a copy of the BS Alakazam....thus 90 HP

5 It's always going to be a tech...no matter what....

awesome ability, horible hp and horrible attack- you have to have to right deck for him - probably best with resh and zek for outrage

Reuniclus's HP shouldn't be an issue, because it is only good in trainer lock, therefore it can't be Catchered up, and it will never be in your active. It is truly a beautiful card, it has a lot of potential in any Vileplume variant, but people are going to start playing the Solrock heal block engine, making it so your Blisseys are worthless, and you will eventually run out of places to put the damage with Reuniclus.

This card works good with gothitelle ability and also, like we saw at worlds dragons with donphan, the HP is bad, but it should never be in the active spot IMO it should just be support in a deck.

This card has serious potential and there is one deck with Reiniculus that does amazing and it uses magnezone :p

Catutie summed it up well, but I also think it should only be in Trainer Lock decks, because otherwise it Catcher bait. Never ever ever use it's attack.

I think Regigigas EX will be amazing with this card. If you play it right, you could be devastating turn 2.

The thing about Reuniclus is that its better in Trainer Lock decks because then Reuniclus can't be Catcher'd up and knocked out. In a deck with Regigigas EX, Reuniclus would simply be Catcher'd up and knocked out. Regigigas could work with other things, or with Reuniclus and Vileplume, but it would be hard with just Reuniclus.

I think Reuniclus is a great card, and has much potential with Max Potion, but is a target for Pokemon Catcher, and should mostly be played with Vileplume to avoid getting Catcher'd,

mann are people really using the solrock tech? thats a bummer i was really excited to use this with blissy. i think high hp-decent attacker in main and reuniclus will be devastating with vileplume. this card is a great tech

It's a very handy tech and I wish I'd pulled one out of my packs, since I must have bought around 30 of BW. :p
HP is bad, but the Catcher thing is inevitable. Run either Switch or your own Catcher if it bothers you.
I love the ability, and it's handy, but it's uses are obvious and never subject to change.

Well today i seen some one playing reuiclus with vileplume in it and i saw his solosis get sniped on the bench a lot.He was playing a deck that went in second place in worlds. And yes i did play him and i did beat him thank you lost world lol.

I think Reuniclus is a pretty good card. Its second place finish in worlds proves that. Once it comes out early in the game, it makes the main attacking Pokemon it supports (assuming that Pokemon has 130+ HP) hard to impossible to take out thanks to its ability. Combined with Gothitelle or Vileplume, there is no stopping Reuniclus. The only major problem with this card though is its basic stage, Solosis. Solosis has very low HP, which is similar to Oddish and its low HP problem. Reuniclus also has very low HP for a stage 2 in general. 90 is something that can be take out easily, especially with Catcher; yet, if you combine something that trainer locks with Reuniclus, than that solves the problem. Overall, I think it is a good card that can do well in today's format.

You do realize that google's deck took a ton of skill to play right? No one can just pick up some random deck like that and immediately do well.

I was looking at Reuniclus, but like many have said, unless he's in a Trainer Lock deck he's doomed from the beginning.

It's a beast with Vileplume. That's basically all there is to it. Reuniclus/Vileplume is the clear BDIF right now - you're playing it or you're playing to beat it. Play it with anything else and it's a waste of space - just Catcher bait.

I guess I missed this happen... What is your main attacker? Please don't refer to google's deck, it is amazing a rogue went that far, but keep in mind it was one excellent player, and he lost.

^He lost off of a stupid coin flip. If the sudden death flip went the other way, there was like a 90% chance he would have won. In his report he said he had the T2 Vileplume and T2 Donphan and just didn't know if he would have had the fighting. But either way he couldn't have KO'd the Donphan the next turn so he had 2 or even possibly more turns to get the fighting. Furthermore, he couldn't Candy to Magnezone so he would have needed to get Magneton out at some point. I think we can agree that a coin flip decided the top 2 match at worlds.

google's deck most certainly works and it's a great variant. The Yanmega/Mew vairant works almost as well. There all kinds of other variants that are somewhere near that same level of goodness - namely Beartic and Machamp. It takes a skilled player to play the deck, but the skilled players tend to win anyway. If they think it's BDIF they will play it. If only one person is playing it and it makes top 2, imagine what will happen when more people play it. Probably 80% of the people there were either playing MegaZone or Reshiram yet neither of those decks made top 2.

Have you actually played with the deck? If you set up Reuniclus and Vileplume, you'll win like 85% of the time.
