To buy tins or packs?

Unless you really need the tin promo or it's a Garchomp C Lv.X it isn't worth buying tins.

Go for that deal thing. It's amazing. ESP named the good tins already, so go for those. However, Supreme Victors is a pretty crud set, but you're gonna have to try and go for Blaziken FB LV.X. I'd go for the Mewtwo LV.X tin, because of Uxie LV.X's value.
 
I like buying tins since it always comes with a nice promo card, either to keep or to sell $_$ but...I never seem to have much luck in tins. Just bought a 'gator Prime tin and got nothing good...at all.

I guess it's better to buy booster packs, since you can always choose which ones to get. With tins, the kinds of boosters are always preset.

EDIT: If you're looking for the Charizard G LVX, go for the tins. At least you're guaranteed 5 from 5 tins instead of a 50% probability of 1 from a booster box set (even if the card IS worth $50-100).

I have opened 12 booster boxes, 7 tins, and more individual packs than I feel like counting. As far as luck is concerned, I have found that booster boxes are probably the luckiest with rare cards. Tins are porbably the least lucky in my experience. I have never gotten a super rare card from a tin (Other than the ones the tins came with).
