Togekiss Overrated

Ive been hearing lots off fuss over people sticking togekiss's in their decks for energy boost, but im not quite sure if its all its cracked up to be. Fist, its a stage two which means its pretty slow to set up for a pokemon that is for the most part just bench sitter. Second, its pokepower requires a bit of luck. lets just say your deck has around 20 energies in it which is a little too generous in my opinion. That means 1/3 of your deck is energy meaning that if you viewed the top 10 cards of your deck youd see about 3 cards on average whcih is an okay boost at best. However it only allows for you to take basic energy cards so if you find any scrambles or dres youl only be able to attack like 2 on average. Is attaching 2 extra energies in one turn really worth the painful set-up when you can possible be knocked out one turn later?

Actually, it's more than 2 or 3 energies per turn. The deck is thinned out alot, allowing more energies to be drawn with Togekiss.

And slow? How is it slow? Sure, it's a stage 2. But combo it with say, Furret from SW, and your good to go.

It's not really painful to setup. You can combo it with Furret SW like Krucifier suggested. Attaching more than 1 energy per turn can help you in your attacking & could probably win you the game, if you know what I mean... :)

its a good card but takes a huge amount of room in the deck. i guess if your willing to sacrifice the deck space its great.

I agree that togekiss is overrated. Go see what Lou Cypher wrote in Article Submissions.

Togekiss can be brought up with furret, yes. But how many decks out there play furret and togekiss? Imagine

4-3 furret
3-2-3/2-1-2 togekiss
? Some random attacker

Right....

That's how Skittles work, and it doesn't require Furret, yet it won Regionals. :O

Togekiss is somewhat good but it could leave you in a bide so I just go with claydol

claydol and togekiss combo, as claydol pushes energy back into the deck.
it is good, as it can suprise the opponent.
but leafeon lv.x is better

I can see what you're saying here. Myself-- I try to keep all my tech Pokémon to basics. That, and a Garchomp deck isn't necessarily energy-heavy... The most important thing is distribution of types. Supporters like Roseanne's Research are more important than drawing random energies. Rosesanne's lets you get the specific type that you need to deal the most damage.
