Fans rejoice, I guess...

Toonami is returning to Cartoon Network on May 26, 2012. I guess it's good news but they took too long to bring it back after it died like back in 2008 I think? Anyway I'm not sure how this is going to hold out since Internet Piracy with Japanese Fansubs/Dubs killed Toonami in the first place.

My Anime Recommendations for the new Toonami Block:

* Cardfight!! Vanguard English Dub
* One Piece by FUNimation
* Dragonball Z (Remastered Uncut Version)

I would love to see an English dub for Vanguard, but I don't think it would be in too high of a demand.

I'm happy Toonami is returning, though! I can't wait to see what Anime it airs, I saw a list somewhere, but the only one I remember is Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

I am really excited for it to be coming back, its been gone for far too long! I hope they air Soul Eater on it!

So far, I've heard that it's going to be airing only two brand new anime shows, the rest will entail Bleach, Ghost in The Shell, Cowboy Bebop, and FMA, along with a couple of other. Needless to say, I'm very excited, since Toonami is pretty much my favorite thing that's ever aired on television. I enjoy newer shows, but I hope they bring back classics like Trigun, DBZ, Rave Master, Bobobo, One Piece, Big O, and Inyuasha. Here's hoping!

I've just been hoping for re-airings of anime that ran on Toonami and Adult Swim in the past. Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, Tenchi Muyo!. Gundam Wing, Zoids...

So in other words it's basically just Adult Swim 3.0 but without all those Non-Anime shows like Family Guy, American Dad, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Squidbillies, King of the Hill, etc. A perfect oppurtunity to showcase some new Anime that needs to be broadcasted like Cardfight!! Vanguard and One Piece but they decide to air it late at night for the teenage-adult age demographic instead.

I'm not surprised given that Cartoon Network no longer has ANY interest in Anime anymore aside from daytime Anime like Pokemon and Beyblade Metal Fusion reruns. I remember when they used to accept Anime shows more like back in the late 90's and early to mid 2000's, now they only care about airing shows that are degrading to themselves like Eagleheart, Childrens Hospital, and Superjail!.

Adult Swim's entire Anime schedule for early morning May 27th is as follows:

12:00 a.m. - Bleach
12:30 a.m. - Deadman Wonderland (New)
1:00 a.m. - Casshern Sins (New)
1:30 a.m. - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
2:00 a.m. - Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG
2:30 a.m. - Cowboy Bebop

The schedule then repeats between 3:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m.

DeMarco added that the new Toonami will not be airing Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, and similar titles since "the rights to those shows are owned by our competition or are out of our price range." He continued, "Something you should know about THIS Toonami: We have very, very little money. This experiment will need ratings success to receive more funding for new shows more [mascot character] Tom animation, etc. I'm thankful for the money we've gotten, but it isn't alot."

TOONAMI FANS, THE MORE YOU WATCH TOONAMI THE MORE THEY WILL AIR BETTER AND NEWER ANIME THIS INCLUDES STUFF LIKE ONE PIECE, INUYASHA: THE FINAL ACT, PANTY & STOCKING WITH GARTERBELT, FAIRY TAIL, AND OTHER GREAT ANIME.

RESHARE THIS, REUPLOAD THIS, I DON'T CARE JUST GET THE WORD OUT.

So CN's excuse for not airing this new Toonami reboot during the Daytime on Weekdays like they used to is because they don't want kids of younger generations to get into Anime like we did? What kind of stupid logic is that? Why air it on Adult Swim when they are probably going to troll us as hard as Capcom does with their DLC shenanigans? -___-

OMG I remember watching toonami when I was little after school everyday!!! I watched dragon Ball, sailor moon, zoids- I think, rurouni kenshin ( my favorite!!! ) ahaahhh those were the glory days :p I would have the boringest day of school ever and toonami would make the day worth it. Yay! ^-^

Adult Swim should really start at least ACTING like they give a crap about thess anime and anime fans. It's been too long since we've had any really actually good anime on there. Yes, FMAb is good, Yes, Durarara is amazing, so is Kekkaishi...but those series have since ended and the reruns are driving me up the wall. I'd watch Inuyasha every time it was on, if it wasn't on so late/early. I just hope they get enough funds to get One Piece, Fairy Tail and such on there. Maybe even Soul Eater! I honestly DON'T want to see Naruto on there, because it's too...big. It's easy enough to find on another channel or the internet if you want to watch it.

Why even bring UMvC3 into the conversation? lol
Anyways, I think that most fans have shown that they want Toonami back, and CN was smart enough to bring it back. Hopefully it won't be a wasted opportunity to put some good old fashioned Anime back into the spotlight.

and zoids omfg yes

Ha! How funny. I was just talking about this today. xD
I'm glad that they've finally heard us. I've really missed it.

Bleach is the opener for Toonami.

The premier hasn't disappointed, so far. The intro wasn't very long, but the new design for Tom and the fan-made music for the intro spoke for themselves. They didn't update the overall design for the in-between show segments, but still, I don't think CN could have done much better, taking the time and money they have into account.

And Deadman Wonderland starts... strong.

> Let Tom say ladies
> Censor swearing in Deadman Wonderland

Yeah I wasn't much of a fan of Deadman Wonderland, reminded me too much of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Aside from that this new Toonami isn't anything special, just what Adult Swim has always been doing every Saturday Night and that's airing Anime whether If it's Reruns or new content.
