Torterra from Unleashed (#10) [7/15]

1.I really don't think it should be played by itself.I think the card is ok but the retreat is horrible! It's not worth playing at all.

2.Landmin and Flyterra.

3.I could use it in Flyterra because of all the support of the other Pokemon that you put in there, like Cherrim from SF or AR to heal.

4.I give it a 3/5 because there are not as many combos to use with it.

5. The artwork looks pretty epic! 5/5 on the artwork!

3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
You could use it w/ Shaymin Lv. X, Leafeon Lv. X, or cherrim for more tanking. And Snowpoint Temple.

Why Snowpoint Temple? I am confused about this.

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
Horrible, simply horrible. I don't think it's worth being played. I mean, the retreat cost is horrible, the attacks aren't that great, and imo I think there are better Torterra cards. The high HP is probably the only plus to this card.
2. What popular metagame decks is it used in?
FailTerra
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
Nothing outside of what has already been stated.
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
See my answer to #1. I give it 2/5
5. How's the artwork?
The artwork isn't bad. I like most of the artwork in UL. But like this Torterra, just about every card in UL is useless.

1. It is good but there are things so much better. Yes I agree it might have been okay in last format. Talking about the new format I am not sure if it will do so well. The main problem I had with it is that Turtwig GL can do the exact same thing for the exact same energy, is a basic, and has a body that says if it gets below 60 (only minus 30 hit points from its base hit points) you get to do 30 extra damage. I do not believe its worth being played since torterra lv x is going out.

2. None that I know of. but I can see how it could make its way into a metagame as a big tank if the game slows down a bit.

3. I like the combo with landmin and the cherim from storm front. The only other thing I could think of is adding the torterra from storm front and a couple of call energy to get your base torterra doing damage faster because storm front torterra lets you evolve as many grass pokemon as you want when you evolve.

Personal bias: however, you can just do the same thing with turtwig gl and ignore all the hassle of BTS and rare candy and searching for grotel and torterra. btw some may say it has less hit points but with shaymin+ expert belt+ snowpoint it only has 30 less which is amazing for a basic and a huge tank ^^

4.I give torterra a 3/5 because It is just to slow for something that has a counterpart (ironically the same line) that can do the same thing

5. Artwork is 3.2/5 because its cool but not that cool bust still pretty cool. Honestly I like the image of him roaring but dont like the background as much.

I think this card is pretty good its not amazing.
2. What popular meta game decks is it used in?
Flyterra and landmin/torterra
3.What combos can you use it with? How so?
With landmin, expert belt, grass energy, and dce its a great healing tank obviously flygon can give it free retreat
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you give it that rating.
i give a 5/5 for the above reasons it is a great card
5.artwork isnt that great however 3/5
