Card of the Day: Town Map

Town Map – Trainer
Item

You play with your Prize cards face-up for the rest of the game.

You can use any number of Item cards during your turn.

I don't see how this is helpful; any good player will know what is prized when he first looks through the deck. Except for knowing which prize you'll be taking, but so does your opponent. You don't even have time to use say a prized Catcher because your opponent is likely to N it away if he can.

The reason I disagree is because, while you should know what's prized, you don't know where it is in your prizes. If you need something off your prizes, you're guessing for it unless you have your prizes face up.

Your opponent won't always have an N, and it's still in your deck. This could come in handy as a one of in some decks if they desperately need something that's prized.

If one does run it, they'll only run 1, because if they have more than one, they become dead cards after 1 use.
It's kind of unlikely to have your opponent use an N on most of the prize cards you pick up. For me, I would wait for my opponent to exhaust at least two of his N's before using this card. (If I had it in my deck.)

I'd rather get random prizes than showing them to my opponent. I would know what was prized anyway. I can just work with that. Besides, it's 1 deck space that is not that helpful considering your opponent will be able to see your cards. I wouldn't run this in my deck.

If you picked up a Juniper and only had one card in your hand, or if you picked up a Catcher so you could take a revenge KO on Darkrai or something, then yes, your opponent would N you at all costs. No they won't always have N, but I'm pretty sure all good lists run four and usually at least two Random Reciever.

At least that N would benefit you somewhat anyway if you had Juniper and 1 card.
I'm thinking maybe taking a K.O with some pokemon like the ability Chandelure while prize cards are face up so you can use that prize card the same turn.

Actually, juniper is way better than N if you have one card, especially late in the game. I agree with you about Chandelure, the only problem is that it's dead. Not the point though. Back on topic, I wouldn't run this card because I'd rather use the space for better things, and your opponent can see it, meaning you won't even have a chance to use the card you just drew.

Well, for the juniper part, I kind of meant, "Much better than nothing."

Maybe in Accelgor when you can get the KO going into your turn, but I'd still rather run things for consistency, especially in Accelgor.
