Ruling Toxicroak EX+Virbank and Latias Ex vs Pyroar

OK, so two quick questions on these scenarios:

1. Toxicroak Ex and Viribank Gym have the same wording for extra poison counters between turns. Are they additive, giving 6 damage counters per turn, or are they mutually exclusive abilities (attaching two extra damage counters satisfies both the criteria)?

2. I just want to confirm that Latias EX's ability, Bright Down, overrides Pyroar's ability that excludes damage from basic pokemon.

1. Virbank City Gym adds to Toxicroak EX's Triple Poison, for a total of 50 damage between turns.

2. Yes, Bright Down blocks Pyroar.

Just posting again to say I misread your 2nd question and I am correcting my answer.

It isn't Bright Down that lets the damage through, it is that Barrier Break isn't affected by any other effect.
