RE: Trivia of DNA I

Weezing is 2x weak to psychic, which drapion is immune to.
Drapion is 2x week to ground, which weezing is /usually/ immune to.

RE: Trivia of DNA I

Xdogking was...close, however, it was Dark Void that gave me the answer I wanted. Each of them has only 1 weakness (under normal conditions) to which the other one has an immunity to.

Let's say you had a cartridge of Pokemon Sapphire. You had every Pokemon possible on it that you could get - yes, even Jirachi and Deoxys. Therefore, the breeding combinations are pretty much limitless.

And yet there's one move that will still elude you (not counting Struggle). So what move could you not teach a Pokemon in Sapphire under these perfectly ideal conditions?

Or am I just messing with you and this so-called un-acquirable move does not exist?

By the way, if you want me to clarify the question a bit more, ask. I understand the wording is a bit confusing.

RE: Trivia of DNA I

I know in Sapphire Pokemon hatch out of eggs at level 5, but you could use a heart scale so it can't be a move a Pokemon learns at a level lower than 5....I'm inclined to say nothing, but hatman already said that so I may as well guess something different...Volt Tackle. Maybe you can't get the Light Ball in Sapphire or something? I dunno.

RE: Trivia of DNA I

DV is correct, Light Ball didn't work until Emerald.

And I realized Drapion covered Weezing's weakness a few minutes after I posted, I felt so stupid.

RE: Trivia of DNA I

Ayup. It's Volt Tackle. Said move could not be acquired until Emerald. Dark Void gets 3 points.

Not counting any types that only hit super-effective against 1 or less types of Pokemon, how many move types do not hit for a 4x super-effective multiplier on a Pokemon, to date? And what are the types?

For example, Grass is incorrect because it hits 4x on Golem, a Rock/Ground type.

RE: Trivia of DNA I

Normal. Poison. Psychic. Ghost. Dragon. Dark. Steel.

Although I'm not sure what you mean by this:

RE: Trivia of DNA I

So do you want a long list of moves? Or just the types?

If just the types are needed, I'm guessing Normal, Poison, Ghost, Dragon, Dark and Steel

RE: Trivia of DNA I

@Safariblade: It means that I don't want you to name the types that hit super-effective on 1 or 0 types, as they can't hit 4x on any Pokemon anyway.

And since you two both named Normal, plus some other types that hit super-effective on 1 or less types, neither of you will get points.

Read the question!

RE: Trivia of DNA I

Thank you.

Normal - Isn't eligible since it doesn't hit super-effective on anything
Poison - Is only super-effective against Grass
Dragon - Is only super-effective against Dragon
Dark - Correct. Hits super-effective on Ghost and Psychic types, but there is no Psychic/Ghost type Pokemon made yet.
Ghost - Correct. Is the same as Dark.
Steel - Correct. Hits super-effective on Rock and Ice tyeps, but there is no Ice/Rock type Pokemon made yet.

Which Dragon-type Pokemon are:

~not weak to Ice?
~not weak to Dragon?

You must answer both halves of this question correctly for full credit.

RE: Trivia of DNA I

Ice - Palkia, Kingdra, Dialga, Reshiram, Kyurem
Dragon - Dialga

RE: Trivia of DNA I

I've been remiss in updating the trivia. I thought up a good question a couple days ago, but unfortunately, I wasn't by a computer when I thought it up, and I've since forgotten it...

NO WAIT I JUST REMEMBERED IT

Excluding use of the Simple ability and the move Belly Drum, is it possible to get exactly 4 stat-ups (in any combination) with the use of any one move? If so, explain how.

When I say stat-up, I mean a +1 stage in the user's stat. So Calm Mind and Swords Dance would each give 2 stat-ups. Think of it like that last question I gave.

RE: Trivia of DNA I

Nice try, but no dice. I didn't ask for a net change of 4 - I asked what move gave you exactly 4 stat-ups. And Shell Smash technically gives you 6.

RE: Trivia of DNA I

Growth in the sun gives +2 to attack and special attack.

Xdogking's passed 60 points. That means he's more than 80% done with this trivia. STEP IT UP, GUYS

~~~~~
How many moves changed types in between generations? And name them. Also, if you think there's zero, you can say so.
RE: Trivia of DNA I
4. Gust, Karate Chop, Bite, Curse. There might be more, I forget.
