Tuesday, 2/12, Kid Attempts Robbery of Pokemon Cards at Gun Point

That was weird....

Who would shoot (even if it was with an air soft gun) a 6 yr. old for Pokemon cards?

Besides, I bet he just has 2 Magkarp RH cards.

Beh, i'm disapointed to read that those things still happen. Come on kids there are only cards you should have phun whit them not try to rip poor kids.

@shaymingiratina8717: Don't think those kids only have MK's there are lots of younger kids that have playable cards (not always lvl x's and stuff but like blissey's (when they where great) and gallade's and stuff. i've traded whit alot of younger kids at my league to get good cards) I always trade fair whit those kids peeps who know me know this too ;)

This story just disgusts me to bits. First of all, why did the parents even allow their kid to have any sort of gun. I stand by that guns just lead to violence and bad things. For Pokemon cards, kids are willing to go to great lengths, as evident by intentionally trying to hurt a person younger than you. I wholeheartedly agree to expel the little brat, and take away his filthy Pokemon cards. Can't wait for DP5 set news this week.

dmaster out.

Lol, this is...different. Somebody who takes it a little to seriously. Well I'm not sure if the kid should be expelled. But the suspension is really neccesary! This kid needs some body watching him;)

wow that's kind of disturbing. he'll go down as the "kid who held up a little boy for his pokemon cards with an air soft gun" forever. kind of sad to see that kids would do such things like this. it throws pokemon's good name hard onto the ground...

OK I love Pokemon but seriously is it worth it holding a gun to someones head for cards? Sure I love Pokemon but Im not obsessed enough to attempt robbery! This story disgusts me!

It was just a joke.

Exactly. Its just gonna make us as fans look worse because a fourth grader who needs a LOT of cmmon sense shoved into him attacked (not really but you know what I mean.) him for cards. Its just pathetic.

At my league people have had decks stolen. People need to be less serious. I mean they are only cards. And next thing people will be shot for their pokemon cards. It takes the fun out of it, and thats the main part of pokemon. Sure you might win, but why win when you have held a gun to somebody's head, just to win. It's crazy.

/me sighs....

... What a grim reminder of how corrupt today's society is.... One day, that Airsoft gun might just turn into a real gun in that guy's hand...

It all makes me so sad....

Eh, I remember similar things happening 'back in the day.' Kids would get into playground scraps over Pokémon cards, and parents would decide that playing Pokémon was akin to gambling. It contributed to all that "Pokémon is the work of Satan" delirium.

It's sad that this happened; you've got to wonder what made that kid think it was alright to point an Airsoft at another kid and bully him like that. There's a bigger problem here, definitely.

Well I would like to say, that how guns may lead to violence, airsoft guns are usually very safe, just like a nerf gun. (I have an airsoft gun and I assure you they are safe) I doubt any parents would give a 10 year old an air soft gun. He may have taken it from his older brother or something. This kid just has some...special issues.

That's what I thought when I first read that story.

No, I agree with the 'Shroob. One day it could be a pellet gun and the next a paintball gun and the next a real gun. Guns in general lead to what happened in this kind of example. No, I don't think that he has special issues; he just didn't think of the consequences. Special issues would be the accident at Virginia Tech a while back. Nothing to kid about and I would hate to hear someone who started like this would end up like that: a murderer.

dmaster out.

I can't believe this! Holding up a kid for Pokémon cards is just disturbing. Pokémon cards are meant to be fun, not meant for kids to get air-guns and try to steal them. This just shouldn't happen. Unfortunately, it does, and that is just disturbing.

Yeah, dmaster's right. People just like lloking for something bigger as time goes on when it comes to violence. And drugs, for that matter.
