Guiding questions:
1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
5. How's the artwork?

Posts MUST be several sentences long with proper grammar and spelling or they will be deleted - this forum is to discuss specific cards so other people can learn about their potential in the current metagame.

FIRST!!!

1.) On its own it is a basic SP with low output. It does have minimal potential if played with Landmin and Snowpoint Temple + Expertbelt. The healing aspect is nice, but it just cannot do enough damage. I like that it is SP and that it is fast. If it gets close to getting KOed, you can just Poketurn and bring up another one. A guy from our league took this to BR and we came down to +3 after time. I eventually won with Tyranitar Prime, so I guess it does have potential, but definately not metagame changing.
2.) None at this time, but makes for a fun rogue deck to play.
3.) Namely Landmin and Snowpoint + Expert belt for 170 HP!
4.) 3 out of 5. Good HP, resistance, healing and being an SP. Horrid RC, low output and weakness.
5.) Looks like a fighter, but kind of blah.

1. It's a good basic; it has a bit high of an attack cost (and retreat cost, ugh), but outputs fairly good damage and heals pretty well.
2. Not really any metagame decks for this one, although I suppose it could be used in any SP engine (although it almost always isn't...)
3. Anything SP-based; as King Charizard said, Shaymin X + Snowpoint + E-belt gets it 170 HP and doing base 50 and healing 50, which is nice output.
4. 3/5. Can't really be used too effectively, is fairly slow, very high retreat, but can be used with some combos to get a mini-tank going.
5. 0.5/5. Turtwig was NEVER meant to look intimidating. It just doesn't work.

1.) On its own, Turtwig GL just has problems with speed, not being able to do much damage, and not having the best Weakness, seeing ChenLock will love setting this guy on fire with Blaziken. Unfortunately, Turtwig GL isn't the greatest on his own, and you'll need to rely on getting set-up really quickly if you wanna do anything at all.
2.) None. Maybe rogue? Maybe?
3.) OK. Runnin Turtwig GL would be fun IMO because of its healing opportunity with Giga Drain. I'd max out the Expert Belt like no other, run the SP Engine and Snowpoint Temple as Scizorliscious mentioned, and run maximum Unown R LA. You'll need the draw power. Getting Turtwig not to get KO'd in two turns is big, because of the fact that you need a Grass Energy and a DCE to start with in order to use the attack that will keep him alive. If you don't, well, there goes the win you had hopes for.
4.) I love this card, but I can't give it any higher than a 2.5/5.
5.) Why y'all hatin'? I think this is pretty nice. I think it works out OK.

1. This card is an awesome tank. Drop down with 90 HP, it can hold off most evil predators like Garchomp and Luxray for a while. It's move can be powered with a DCE, allowing for fast attack and great recovery. Problem? Basic grass pokemon that gets pwned by Blaziken

2. There is a TurTank deck, not meta but its a deck =]

3. Combo with Expert Belt and Cherrim SF. More damage and heal. Then use Shaymin LandX. Snowpoint Temple. The Max HP on this thing is 170. For a Basic. 0_0 and it can heal 50 consistent each turn

4. I say a 4/5, because its a great rogue card, but is a grass type and gets easily beat by faster moving meta decks

5. 4.9/5. Amazing drawing by Eo.....again.

5. How's the artwork?

1.Turtwig Gl from RR is a great card overall (and it was very annoying at prereleases) in that its a decent basic pokemont hat can be a nice stall while you st-up your bench frantically.
2.The only deck I could see this being played in is an SP deck made to annoy your opponents to death.
3.Not to slow of a set-up guy but there are better (Spirittomb), but other than that anyone combos used with this guy would just be worthless in a high-intensity match.
4.I'd give this card a 3/5 because he can stand on his own but pretty useless card otherwise.
5.4/5 for the art because it looks nice with an almost more hand-drawn with the background.

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
*on it's own, without E belt, shaymin, his retreat cost, etc? T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E!!!
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
*none that are worthy of mentioning
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
* Well adding on E- belt, Snowpoint, Shaymin x it could be a good stall?Maybe? I guess throw some SP tools in,idk. Any good fire pokemon could destroy him. I would never consider as a basic starter with sableye or spiritomb out.
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
* I don't see much potential for this card in the meta-game. Eh it'd be a fun card to toy around with but I'm gonna be the bad guy here and give him a 2 out of 5.
5. How's the artwork?
* Sucks, 0 out of 5

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
it doesnt stand on its own..it's pretty bad except at the RR pre-release..no, its not worth being played by competitive players

2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
SP, i guess?
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
SP based, shaymin land X, cherrim SF
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
2 stars..overall a bad card, should never see tournament play
5. How's the artwork?
Pretty cool actually :)

1. This card is terrible and not worth being played. It's retreat cost and costly attack ruin it from getting any usage. They are much better SP's.
2. I know. Possibly some fun decks or whatever. I never saw any use of this.
3. I don't know any combos with it. It could possibly do something with Energy Gain, but that's about it.
4. 1/5 This card is worthless and outclassed by Torterra UL. For an SP, it does barely anything. This is hindered further bad its bad retreat cost, 2x Fire weakness, and pricey attack.
5. 1.5/5 Mundane. The Clouds don't look good and Turtwig does not really look all that good.

5. How's the artwork?

1) It has alot of potential with 2 level xs especially because of its tanking ability.
2) It really can't be used easily because it requires alot of setup to be effective usually.
3) Landmin X and Alakzam X will give it an enormous boost. The +40 HP boost and ability to move around damage counters is just too amazing. At the same time, it can be countered easily, especially with a Luxray X.
4) I'd give it a 3.5/5 with that combo.
5) I feel sorry for whoever he/she's staring at. They're going down. :p
