Tyranitar Prime HGSS-on

I was SOOOOOOO happy to hear that this was becoming the rotation of the future, so I decided to get working on some stuff pronto.

3-2-3 Tyranitar Prime (UL50-UL38-Prime)
2-2 Mandibuzz
2-2 Zoroark
2 Smeargle UD
2 Cleffa CoL
1 Bouffalant
1 Unown DARK
22

T/S/S

3 Pokemon Communication BW
3 Super Scoop Up UL
2 Rare Candy UL
4 Pokemon Collector HGSS
3 PONT
3 PETM
2 Flower Shop Lady
1 Interviewer's Questions
1 Twins
22

4 DCE
4 Special Dark
8 Basic Dark
16

Baisc Strategy is to use T-Tar Prime and either beat down or use Darkness Howl to cause spread damage and use Mandibuzz to follow up with the sniping. Mandibuzz is also a good tech card against other Stage 2 decks, which I think we'll be seeing a lot more of come rotation. Zoroark is great for setting up and also for his attack "Foul Play" to copy powerful attacks on the Defending Pokemon. Bouffalant is tech I'm trying right now for the revenge kills since I play DCE, and Cleffa and Smeargle are great starters.

Any help that could be provided would be greatly appreciated!!

i would put in some energy exchangers so that you can pull out that dce or special dark when you need it.
take out unown dark. its pretty useless if you happen to start with it

i would also take out the 2 cleffas. theyre pretty bad. its like using a prof oaks and giving your opponent a free prize 50% of the time.
put into another smeargle instead. and another energy exchanger

also, zoroark is pretty useless in your deck if your playing tyranitar. nothing will out beast a tyranitar.

you can take out the zoroark line and put in a 1-1 line of dodrio to help your retreat. this also allows you to put up a smeargle after your opponent KO's your pokemon and bring it back after.

also put in some junk arms to get those trainer cards you need in a pinch, also helps against lost-zone by discarding your extra pokemon

lastly, i would add in an alph litho 4 so you can see where your prize cards are

helps alot!

This is a pretty fun deck to run and truly look forward to HGSS-On rotation so this can be ran a little better without having Zoroark and Buzz bat dropped and sniped for the easy KO. Personally, I feel as if Cleffa is a rather terrible starter and think that just running 3-4 smeargle would be a lot better. Smeargle helps your consistancy and set THAT TURN, where as Cleffa gives you a fresh hand for NEXT turn, which isn't all that great. Being asleep isn't always great for you either because what happens when it gets back to you, IF it does, and you flip tails? yeah no bueno. So dropping those 2 and moving up to a 4 smeargle line with boost consistancy. Another possibility is to drop the 2 Cleffa and the 1 Bouffalant and go with +1 Smeargle and +1-1 Umbreon. Bouffalant is cool for a Revenge POSSIBLE KO, but thats about it, Using the Umbreon will provide you with time to set up or even using the Eevee "Call for Family" to help you gather another bench for greater consistancy at the start.

On terms of Energy....Running 12 Darks (SP and Reg) is a solid amount, but, isn't necessary especially when having interviewers. I like to run just 6 basic dark and add in 2 rescue energy for the quick re-set up in a crucial situation. There's not much more annoying that knocking out a beefy T-Tar and then seeing it be set back up just a couple turns later.

Well I don't want to rant too much, I hope that there is some sort of help within this. I hope you're having fun playing this deck! Good Luck!

I like the decklist, but I would take out a collecter, being able to get one is great, but running 4 is too much. I would take out one or two (your choice) and replace them with professor juniper. Juniper draws more than PONT.

I've been experimenting with this deck for awhile and I'm not sure which is the best secondary attacker or tech to blend with Tyranitar Prime being either Mandibuzz, Liepard, or Zoroark which are really good Stage 1 {D} Pokemon in their own right. I'm starting to lean to Liepard due to Taunt but Mandibuzz is great as well due to the synergy with Blindside and T-Tar Prime's Darkness Howl.

I would strongly recommend a 1-1-1 Serperior tech for Royal Heal cause it will help your main attacker Tyranitar Prime survive more as a tank though you should be able to take at least 2 hits from Donphan Prime before getting screwed over and you don't have the deckspace for Rescue Energy when you're already running enough Special Energies with DCE and Special Darks.

In terms of drawpower Juniper is too risky cause unless you have a horrible hand you wouldn't want to risk discarding useful cards to draw a new seven as PONT is the best way to go as it can also help prevent you from decking yourself especially with Megaton Tail discarding the top 3 cards of your deck everytime.

Umbreon is good but with more Black & White Pokemon with Abilities to get around Moonlight Fang it's most likely going to see less play unless you really need a tech against it which you most likely won't. Players that run BlastiGatr might even be more inclined to run Samurott with Shell Armor over Blastoise cause it can get around Umbreon but it still falls prey to Zekrom.

The main attacks you're going for in this deck are 1Dark Energy requirement, both T-Tar and Buzz, and bumping down to 6 regular dark to add 2 rescue wont hurt your "deckspace" or consistancy AT ALL, especially with interviewers.

everyone agrees cleffa and unown should be taken out.
I might also add 1 lunatone and 1 solrock from Triumphant because for some reason I see serperior becoming popular in the future. im not sure what you would take out but if you can find room I would play maybe 1 shuppet from triumphant because it has DISABLE! that puts zekrom, emboar, serperior, Samurott, scizor, and vileplume out of attacks. only downside is the coinflip. :( if you choose not to play any of that you can always run some life herbs in case hypno puts you asleep or roserade confuses you. I would just say keep the TANK ALIVE!!!
