Tyranitar's absence in the anime?

I might just be paranoid, but have any of you found it strange that all of the other top Stage 2's(Metagross, Dragonite, and Salamence) have been showed in the anime more than Tyranitar? Salamence, Metagross, and Dragonite, along with their evolutions have been showed frequently but Tyranitar has only been in the anime in 3 episodes(mainly Larvitar) and in Pokemon 4ever as a 'shadow Tyranitar'. Which was a long time ago.

During, "Mother of All Battles", the mother Tyranitar was able to unleash very powerful attacks that could completely destroy the lanscape. It also had a bad temper but that's because it's baby was taken away. Acting the way a regular Tyranitar would. Also note that these episodes took place on Mt. Silver, the native home of Tyranitar, but has rarely been mentioned ever since.

In, "Pokemon 4ever", the 'shadow' Tyranitar the Iron MAsked Marauder captured completely destroyed everything in it's path and looked and acted very evil. Even Brock's Onix didn't even stand a chance against it and Tyranitar easily threw him off. At the end when it swam over TR, it looked like it had been purified by the water(not dark anymore) but it still had an evil glint on it's face. Please note that even though this Tyranitar was captured in a Dark ball, it behaved the way a normal Tyranitar in the wild would have and it lived up to it's description in the games.

With all of that being said, I think Tyranitar's absence in the anime is because it really is one of the truely evil Pokemon. It's bio says that it has an insolent nature and will destroy anything in it's path including other Pokemons' environments. Does Pokemon not want to include a Pokemon such as Tyranitar to make the show, and franschise seem evil?

What are your thoughts on this?

I doubt it's because of that or they wouldn't show it at all. I think they can't find the right scenario for it to appear. I mean, they did show it in the hands of that poacher guy (remember? when TR saved the Pokemon and released Weezing and Arbok?). So I guess yeah it really is too evil to be in the hands of do-gooders :p I think they believe Porygon is a lot more evil.

this is useless
pory2 doesn't even have an anime-appearance, and mew doesn't have a not-movie anime-appearance (except mastermind), so what's your problem?

Problem: Why don't we see more Tyranitar or even Mt. Silver? Shouldn't we see a Trainer have a Larvitar, Pupitar, or Tyranitar for once?

Cute-mew, the reason Mew hasn't had any show appearancesis because it's the Legendaryof all Legendary's. But it has had many movie appearances. And Tyranitar is not a Legendary, although it seems like one;)

I guess this can be locked but I'm just saying.

We did - the poacher! Had a Pupitar, it evolved into Tyranitar. Does nobody listen to me? :p Although yeah, I do wish we saw more of Mt. Silver...

I never saw that one:p But isn't a poacher a little differant from a Trainer?[sarcasm]

:p Got me there.

It was the episode where Jessie and James let Arbok and Weezing go (they rocked, tho :() and they were being thrashed by Tyranitar. How could you forget such violence ;)

They showed it really early in the R/S shows. with the poacher in the episode where Jesse and James lose their Weezing and Arbok.

but i didn't know they'd EVER shown a Salamence, i must've missed it.

but they don't really show it enough IMO, it's just so cool.

Arcanine out.

They use hi in master quest and pokemon 4ever and that was the last time we saw him.:)

Yeah probobly in the 4th gen and above.lol.:)

Salamence was with Drake in one Episode. So as the Jirachi Movie. Other than that, I don't know anymore.

Metagross, was it in the Hoenn League? I don't see many though. Except for DOD.

Don't forget Shelgon and Bagon. I'm alo talking about their basics abd stage 1's.

Let Bagons be Bagons! Remember that episode? A trainer had goggles and she speaks in a funny way "Bagon, turn left, 30 degrees!" That Bagon evolves into shelgon, nuff said.

Silver in Chronicles (he's in that episode with Richie; it hasn't aired yet, but I've seen it :p) has a Salamence he uses against Moltres. That was a coool episode :D.

If tyranitar is absent all the time from the anime because he's real scary and all that, dont you think that gives him a better reputation for being such a bad ass? ^^

Yup I remeber that episode it came right after what you seed is what yoy get and then candid camerupt and so on.:)

Tyranitar has been in enough movies/episodes for its fair share of the spotlight. Like cute-mew said, Porygon2 hasnt made an appearence EVER due to the original Porygon issue all those years ago i'd presume. There are alot of other pokemon which have only made 1 or 2 anime appearences which should get more than just those... I say you wont see Tyranitar for a while, mainly cause Stage-2's in the anime arent too common and he's been in it enough times already.
