If you're not running Hoopa, I think Heavy Ball would be essential in this deck, as it lets you grab Bronzongs, Aegislash, and your Dragons. I'd also cut Sky Field down to 2 or 3 and include maybe a copy of Parallel City or a Paint Roller for anti-Stadium plays.

Is the Jirachi Jirachi-EX or the new Promo?

Oh yes Hoopa! I completely forgot. Yes the Skyfield could be lowered. I will probably go for Paint Roller instead of Parallel City though. Thanks!

First of all, you now have 19 Pokémon listed, not 18; and 30 Trainers now listed, not 31.

I would also suggest incorporating a few Level Balls in order to get Zorua, Bronzor and Jirachi (which 1?) out faster. Consider:

-1 Jirachi
-1 Hex Maniac
+2 Level Ball

Should you decide to use Level Balls, then your Bridgette and 1 Ultra Ball could also be replaced too in order to improve bench setup speed too (like Level Ball). Consider:

-1 Bridgette
-1 Ultra Ball
+1 Heavy Ball
+1 Pokémon Fan Club
- or -
+2 Heavy Ball (@Ms Hugo - great idea; I keep forgetting about this Item)

IMO, 1 Muscle Band will not make a significant contribution to your winning a game; so, IMO, this could be replaced by a more usef ul card. Consider:

-1 Muscle Band
+1 AZ - to recover and reuse Pokémon resources (e.g., Shaymin EX)

I'm one who tries to mitigate "risks" as much as possible. Although the DCEs are nice, they are also targets for Hammers or the new Jirachi (Stardust); plus, these energy are not critical for either of your main attackers. Consider:

-2 DCE
+2 Metal

I hope you find these comments helpful.

Wow! Thanks for all of the advice! I think I will make these edits.

-1 Hex Maniac
-1 Bridgette
-1 Muscle Band
-2 DCE
+2 Metal
+1 AZ
+2 Pokemon Fan Club

I've seen this deck play at cities and when it works it is brilliant! But it does dead draw a bit because of the draw support. It dead draws because of the amount pokemon need to get setup. My suggestions below are really to speed the deck up, though I've never tested it.

  • 2 Tyrantrum-EX
  • 2 Giratina-EX
  • 2 Zoroark
  • 2 Zorua
  • 2 Bronzong

  • 2 Shaymin EX
  • 1 Jirachi
Zoroark is a great attacker. In my opinion, you really don't need a ton of power pokemon when Zoroark is in the mix. Also the prize exchange gets better odds. Agislash, though is nice to have in the deck, becomes redundant with Jirachi. In this setup you are really using him as stall card along with Jirachi. Because you are usually trying to stall decks like NM that rely on the DCE, I just feels it makes a stronger play.

The entire idea of the deck is based on Bronzong and Zoroark. Without at least one of these pokemon in play on first turn, the entire deck breaks downs. The reason I feel the deck plays better with level ball is because it can not only hunt down your Bronzor and Zorua, but it can also get that elusive Jirachi. As much as I want to throw a muscle band in there, I forgoed it for a second lysandre. Lysandre is just too important, especially in end game. I tossed in a faded town, it will give the extra damage the deck will need for Tyrantrum, also it can counter other stadiums when needed.

Good Luck!

Sounds amazing! But I want to make the following changes.

-1 Hex Maniac
-2 Trainer's Mail
-1 Level Ball
-1 Faded Town
-1 Jirachi (Avalibility Reasons)

+1 Hoopa-EX
+2 Sky Field
+2 Pokemon Fan Club
+1 Aegislash-EX

Thanks! :)

If these are new changes, could you please update the deck list in the original post? Thanks!

I don't have any experience with the deck, but if you only need 1 Keldeo in Expanded, then I personally think you only need 1 Zoroark in Standard. I would play a 2-1 line because usually a 1-1 line is too hard to set up. But if you play Battle Compressor, you might just play a Buddy-Buddy Rescue instead of a Zoroark. But I'm just guessing.

In this case, as well as any other deck that utilizes Zoroark, you'll typically find a 2-2, 3-3 or 3-2-1 line investment since Zoroark is a legitimate, strong, non-EX attacker.

no muscle band? tyrantrum ex caps itso damage output at 190, missing lots of OHKO. also with level balls, I don't think Bridgette is needed, it's just too slow. I suggest

+2 muscle band
+1 Giovanni scheme (max output is now 230)
-1 Bridgette
-1 pokemon fan club
-1 birch
