Okay so what happens to websites like eBay that uses e-commerce to mail stuff? If the Postal Service goes then so does being able to get stuff online including cards for TCG's as well. >_>

Not entirely, Card Slinger. If USPS does go out of business we'll at least still be able to ship via UPS, Fedex, etc.

I was gonna say, thank God it hasn't gone away entirely. Can you imagine what that would do to the TCG Community especially for people who wouldn't be able to pay their bills every month?

I'm just glad it's a false alarm...

The USPS needs to be privatized, or else cut workers' pay significantly. I hardly doubt UPS and FedEx have this much of a loss every year, otherwise they wouldn't still be around. It's clear the government doesn't know how to run their mail service (and a few other things, such as the country).

how about all of the government. Nothing is run correctly, and they're all overpaid. Which is what is hurting the USPS, overpaid workers.

The USPS is a letter company that sometimes handles packages. UPS and FedEX are package companies that sometimes mail letters. Their focus' are very different. You get a better deal with USPS anyway. You can send a 4lb parcel to Japan for $80 with 3-day delivery, 3 days before Christmas. UPS and FedEx charge you twice as much if not more and require you to put in every detail of the package -length, width, height, weight, etc. People also don't write letters very much anymore, which is a sad thing. People are also using online bill pay a lot more now, despite the fact that it costs them extra money to simply use that service.

Which is the same for business.

No, what is hurting is too many offices, too many workers, too much expense, not enough volume. USPS can't do cuts without Congress approval.

Man that would suck if USPS got ran out of business. They're the most reliable mail service I've ever had. When I need to ship a package, it's close, affordable and easy. Also decent service. When I need to get a package, they ring the doorbell to let me know my package is there, if I'm not, they leave it behind, if it's a big one, they leave a not and I can pick it up pretty quickly. My experience with UPS however... oh god...

Stupid arrogant gangster hoodlums listening to their iPods while doing their duty, the guy has never rang the doorbell to bring me my package and makes me pick it up all the way down to South Boston, which is not very accessible by public transportation, it's quite a walk. And this one time he told the people at the pick-up center that he would be back with my package by 9:30. 1) I called the lady and she said I could pick it up any time after 5. 2) The place closes at 8:00. So I'm there thinking WTF waiting from 7 till 8:15 when I finally ask why would he take so long, and the lady double checks for my package and... finds it. So... it was kind of lying there the whole time I was waiting... nice work folks. Great service!

The next day... I get another package from UPS... he actually rings the doorbell this time... he was pretty quick to give me the note but I managed to catch him. Jeez louise this guy just screamed ... ignorance all over him. He didn't bother to say anything, just gave me the thing to sign and my package. Oh and he still had his headphones on. Nice.

I also live in an urban, ghetto neighborhood so that may affect why my UPS is so terrible, but my USPS is also in the same area, they're actually closer yet so they're so much better. UPS can kiss the fattest part of my butt.
