Here's a story i've been thinking about putting on. I've done the prologue and the chapters will come in every 2-5 days. (depends if anyone likes it or not) I'm not very good at writing but i enjoy it. So any criticism would be O.K. But please make sure you know that i've said i'm not good .
So enjoy! If possible
Prologue:
Pidgeot and her daughter Pidgey were silently sunbathing in the middle of a large clearing, the sunset overlooking them. Pidgeot was a very elegant bird pokemon with a red streak down the back of her feathers. Most Pidgeots reached a size of 1.5 metres, but this Pidgeot was an amazing 1.8 metres! Officially the tallest Pidgeot in the world. Her daughter, Pidgey looked very much like her mother, only without the red streak. Pidgey always joked about it and said that her mother had sunstroke. Pidgey was thinking about how wonderful her life was. She'd planned it all out. She was going to become a messenger Pidgey when she had finished Poke-School, and she would deliver mail all over the pokemon world! Then, the pair heard a rumbling noise...
"Hmm, I should have caught another weedle for you!" Pidgeot joked.
Another rumble. This time they both felt the ground move slightly.
"Woah!" PIdgey exclaimed, " This is just like a boat!" the clueless Pidgey said.
"That's no boat honey!" Pidgeot said worryingly.
Another massive rumble came and the ground in the clearing started to crack at a rapid rate.
"Wha-what's happening!?!?" Pidgey screamed as the earth underneath her caved in around her.
"Pidgey! Pidgey! That's my baby!"
The cracks opened up far apart and Pidgey was thrown into the darkness.
Pidgeot looked over in dismay. Quickly, she flapped her wings in a burst of energy and swooped low to rescue her three year old girl. But she was falling too fast!
"Faster! FAASTEER!" Pidgeot chanted as she pushed herself as hard as possible. But as she came within reach, they both hit the ground at speed with a terrifying THUMP. Silence. Pidgeot wearily opened it's eyes and found her youngster sprawled out across the ground. She cryed into her beloved's feathers, hoping she was still alive...
"Please! Please talk to me! Please talk..to..me!" Pidgeot started losing control of her mind, and after what seemed like years, she started to give up hope. She had to accept her child was no more. She sadly stood up and grabbed Pidgey tightly in her wings. Pidgeot had no idea how to escape this place. Their seemed to be no exit, only a small tunnel leading her downwards. The poor creature just stayed there, praying for ANYONE to come and rescue her from this cruel place.
Chapter 1: An adventure unfolds
Riolu was dreaming.... dreaming a very weird dream. In his dream, he came by a very large statue, a monumental piece of rock with some sort of pokemon carved into it. It had the resemblance of a bird with wings that reached up into the sky.
A voice emmited from the statue, "This is where your spirit lies! This is your destiny! This is why you are alive! The power of a true friend is too much for death!"
Riolu awakened. He'd always wondered what that dream was about, he'd dreamt it every night of his life as far as he could remember. The poor pokemon couldn't think how a statue would be the purpose of his life. The only thing different about this dream was.. that the statue looked more lifeless than usual. It's eyes looked sore and red and it started to shrink in size. This made Riolu think. What if the statue resembled a real pokemon, one of which looked like a bird? He yawned, got out of his bed and opened the curtains. And what shock struck him! The sky was a mucky grey colour, and..and...it was snowing???? In the middle of August? Riolu laughed and ran downstairs to tell his dad.
"Daddy!?" Riolu shouted as he clambered down the stairs, "Daddy, Daddy, look!"
Riolu was of course referring to the gigantic fighting type pokemon that loomed above him, Lucario. Lucario has blue and black skin with a hint of yellow. He has a steel plating over his shoulders for extra protection against enemies.
"Yes son, i've seen!" Lucario replied, "You're late for breakfast though, si'down."
Poor Riolu had never had a good relationship with his father. Lucario didn't feel that his son was making something of his life. He didn't want him to have the same life as he had. Lucario worked in a berry factory, cutting branches off trees so they could be picked. Such as boring job. He was a veteran now, but he still wanted plenty to do with his child, even though he didn't taslk to him often.
Riolu stopped thinking about his father and turned to the T.V. There was a news report on screen, and he thought it might explain the abnormal sky.
"Hello Viewers, and welcome to the morning news. The most worrying story to date has troubled many people across the pokemon world and some on the human's territory as well! As you can probably see with your very eyes, the sky up above has been disrupted. "
Riolu thought about asking his father what "disrupted" meant but feared he might get slapped.
"But there is a more shocking story than that... The beautiful "Escalibur Field" had an earthquake! Only a few people around the area have appeared to have heard this monstrosity. This has triggered a link to the Human World and one of their places, named "Sheyena" (pronounced Ch - i -na) has been suffering earthquakes!"
Lucario grunted. He didn't care about the "Human World", the humans could all be burned to death and thrown in a "car" and die! (Whatever a "car" is.)
"Oh my!! Breaking news! Pidgeot and her daughter Pidgey have been confirmed as missing! Honchkrow, the leading police investigator says there is very high chance that they are trapped underground! Apparently, there is no force strong enough to reach to the depths of the underground, especially at the earthquakes location. I'm afraid there is nothing we can do. If there are ANY suggestions involving this on how they can be freed, please, and i mean PLEASE, call us on 01864 378024 or poke-mail us at,"

"thankyou for listening to this report."
Well, Riolu was petrified, he lived in Escalibur Town, and regularly went to the field. Pidgey was Riolu's only friend, and after what Lucario put him through, Pidgeot was like Riolu's father. Lucario on the other hand was thinking what he should have for breakfast this morning. Hmmm..Eggs and beans? He didn't care about anyone. Not nobody. Not after what his father put him through.
"Dad?" Riolu asked quietly, trying not to disturb his thoughts that much.
"What." Lucario calmly said.
"Well, can i go for a little walk around town?" Riolu doubted his father would say yes.
"Hmm, why not!" Lucario thought about this, his son would be gone for a while so he could think straight for once.
"Serioulsy!? Yay! Thanks Dad!" the happy Riolu rushed out of the house.
It was cold outside, due to the darkening sky, but Riolu didn't mind, he liked a slight breeze now and then. He pictured in his mind what he was going to do..Go to the place of the earthquake, jump down the massive pit, and save his friends. He saw no flaw in his plan, being only a kid, but he couldn't help feeling a small amount of doubt in his mind. Oh well he thought to himself, and he marched along the beach that he and his father lived on and up to Escalibur Field.
He was there in no more than 10 minutes and he stared down into the huge hole.
"Here we go!" the clueless boy said. He sadly jumped into what surely would result in death.
He went spiralling down the darkness and was sort of enjoying himself. As he picked up speed he saw the ground approaching and started to scream. But he couldn't. He landed on the ground, then blacked out.
What's this? Riolu thought, he figured he was in another dream. He was in the bottom of the pit! It couldn't be a dream, he was still alive. He looked around at the decrepit cave-like place. Jagged rocks pointed out from the walls but apart from that he couldn't see much. Wait! He looked over the other side of the cavern and saw Pidgey and her mother!!
"Yay!" Riolu cried as he rushed over to them.
They both looked happy, but small tears ran down their faces, they looked pale. Riolu jumped into Pidgeot's wings, but found himself land on the floor. He turned around and saw nothing.
"What!" Riolu shouted, "Pidgey! Pidgeot! Where are you!?"
The darkness went away as Riolu slowly woke up. He didn't know what was going on. His back had some scars that were bleeding terribly, and he had a huge bump on his head.. But he was.. Alive!? Riolu, as slowly as ever, stood and surveyed his surroundings. The pit looked the same as it did in the dream. He stared over to where he saw his friends in the dream.. he couldn't see anything at first, but gradually two figures formed in his head, sprawled out over the ground!!!
"No!" Riolu screamed. He ran over to the lifeless bodies laying on the floor and started crying into them.
Riolu had never felt this way before, the statue from his dreams, was a Pidgeot! It had to be! What else did that voice say!? So many thoughts traveled through his head.
The statue had said: "This is where your spirit lies! This is your destiny! This is why you are alive! The power of a true friend is too much for death!"
Riolu didn't understand, he could only ask the same un-answerable question, Why? He thought a bit more...
"The power *sniff* of a tr- *sniff* true friend??" Riolu queried, "I AM A TRUE FRIEND!"
He continued to weep over his friends dead bodies. He stood up, and screamed up into the hole, "WWHHYY!!!!! Why! why...."
He kept reciting the question in his head.
"I AM a true friend, I AM...I am.." Riolu coughed and weezed. When will this nightmare end! he thought looking for the answer in the darkness. When, suddenly the statue voice started putting words into his mind:
You ARE a true friend aren't you?
You DO want them to be alive
You ARE the one.
"The one!!! THE ONE!!! What..do..you...mean!!!!" Riolu, more puzzled then ever, had lost his energy and could hardly shout anymore.
The one to save the world. the voice said.
Riolu paused for a moment, this was enough, he didn't want to take this anymore. As he thought this...All the energy in his body was absorbed from him and spiralled round in the air.
The one.
The one.
The one. The voice repeated, almost chanting an encantation.
The energy from Riolu's body soared towards his friends, their bodies jolted, and then silence.
"Pidgeot?" Riolu questioned.
Pidgeot slowly awoke and stood up! Riolu had done it! Pidgey followed Pidgeot's lead and awoke slowly!
"YES!!!" Riolu tryed to shout, but try as he might, all his energy had been zapped away from him. He slowly fainted onto the hollow floor as his last ounce of energy was used up to breathe his last breath. Riolu was no more, for real.
Hmm thinking about it, this could've been okay for the short story competition, not sure about the new beginning bit though lol, well hope you enjoyed it! Please comment if you view this. I need as many comments as i can get!
