Unlimited Combo darkrai lvx - Hydreigon

Before I start I know this idea will never get played but I thought I would tell you guys any way for the odd chance that someone plays it in unlimited . So this combo is based around Hydreigon of Red Collection with Darkrai lv x from Great Encounters. With hydreigon's ability all the energy attached to it is now {D} so it activates Darkrai's body making them all sp{D} energys. Now it means that all energys on hydreigon are sp dark you can use abiliboar or dce to power it up then hit for 100 and 40 dual snipe with no draw backs.

Ability: Dark Aura
All Energy attached to this Pokemon becomes Darkness Energy.

[D][D][D][D] Dangerous Blade: 60 damage. Choose 2 of your opponent’s Benched Pokemon, and this attack also does 40 damage to each of those Pokemon (don’t apply Weakness and Resistance when damaging the Bench).

Weakness: Fighting (x2)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 3

Doesn't work sadly..
1) GE is before MD so MD-Red Collection would not work
2) Darkrai's Body states that each basic dark energy CARD gets the effect...
So I don't think it would work with Hydreigon.

If it did work it would be pretty alright. 100 and spread. Nice

looks good, but won't that be a bit hard to set-up?

I'd use the DCE idea over the abiliboar idea, because 2 stage 2s and a level x can be hard to set-up.

it wouldnt work.
darkrai states each "basic dark energy CARD"
so you wont be able to use DCE on hydreigon, as hydreigon changes the energy provided into dark, not the actual energy card

Like Glaceon said, this would take an incredibly long time to set up. If there was something like Emboar that worked with Darkness Energy, I can see this working.

^Tyranitar SF. The one that picks ups a {D} out of the discard pile every time they use a poke-power? (Yes, powers are still used in Unlimited.) Then you could like Celebration Wind (Shaymin from HS Unleashed) them over or Lucian's Assignment. Kind of like Zekrom donk with Pachi and Shaymin, except slower. it could be a decent spread deck. Tyranitar's Spinning tail and Hydregion's 40 to 2 bench.

Im sorry I thought GE was the set after MD and I do know what unlimited But I don'think I made it clear that it could be played in both unlimited and md-RC ( which I now know is impossible sorry for the silly mistake). And are you sure that there is no way for this to work with darkrai getting any attached energy to become sp{D}. I guess that going by what you are saying hyreigon's official English translation would have to read as below for this idea to work.

If we get a word-for-word print of the japanese wording of Hydreigons Ability then the combo won't work as stated above. But you won't really need Darkrai lvX when you have Expert Belt. Side affects are slightly bad, but in Unlimited you have access to all the best supporters and draw engine: Oracle + Claydol/Bill = 2 of anycard you want (Twins does the same thing, but only when you're behind on prizes) plus with Double Rainbow Energy and Double Colorless Energy getting Hydreigon charged shouldn't be hard.
