placing damage counters on your active pokemon is also prevented since that is considered an effect of an attack
such as Banette's Ghost Head attack
What about Gengars attackas verse a unown G attachment?
Gengar LV.43 – Psychic – HP110
Stage 2 – Evolves from Haunter
Poke-Power: Fainting Spell
Once during your opponents turn, if Gengar would be knocked out by Damage from an attack, you may flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is knocked out. (erratta- the attacking pokemon)
[P] Shadow Room: Place 3 damage counters on 1 of your opponent’s Pokemon. If that Pokemon has a Poke-Power, place an 6 damage counters on that pokemon instead.
[P][C] Poltergeist: Look at your opponent’s hand. This attack does 30 damage times the number of Trainer, Supporter, and Stadium cards in your opponent's hand.
To me it seems that Shadow Room would be stopped from doing anything. That Poltergiest would do damage becasue the effect of the attack isn't to the pokemon but to the opponents hand. And the Poke-Power could possibly fall under the Unown G protection because it is a result of an attack.
What does everyone think?
