Ruling Unown G

No ruling has been made at this time.
Discussions will be held, research will be done.

That is the answer to one of the many questions asking about the inviting trap v. unown G situation.

So I guess the answer to your first question is no, they haven't changed the ruling *yet, if at all*. It could have just been a misplay that wasn't caught because of conflicting international rulings, or it could be that our rulings could be changed sometime on Unown G's effect.

To your second question, I really don't know.

What I am thinking is that if the effect of an attack is indirectly affecting a G'ed pokemon, it works, But if it is directly affecting it, it fails.

I also heard rumors of a new ruling regarding Looker's Investigation as well not just Unown G. I'm assuming that there's questions revolving around the amount of cards you can draw with Looker's effect.

Like If you're forced to draw just 5 or you can draw just 1 card or 2 with Looker's If the Opponent targets you with it.

there shouldn't be a new ruling concerning Looker's...it clearly states on the card itself that you draw upto 5 cards...it doesn't say draw until you have 5 cards in your hand...so if a person wanted to draw 1 card after being chosen from the player that played Looker's, they can do so...there shouldn't be any confusion there

The new ruling is that if your opponent chooses you, you have to announce how many cards you are going to draw, before you start drawing how many you want. Due to Poltergiest, they don't want you to draw 1. See that its an energy. Then draw 2. See that its a trainer then stop. No, you must announce the amount of cards you are going to draw before you draw

Deck_Master

Deck Master, you got it backwards. You can look and draw 1 at a time now. The OLD rule was announce or draw maximum.

I though the new rule was not announced officially and updated to the compendium just like the Unown G thing. They just used it this way during worlds.

No, Deckmaster is right. You have to announce how many cards you are drawing beforehand. Because if you don't, then you can have a situation just like he said.

>.< DNA, what DukeFireBird just said that Deck Master had it the wrong way. The original ruling on Looker's Investigation was that you have to announce how many you're going to draw if you draw less than the five. This has been the same with other things like Team Galactic's Wager. The new ruling that might be on Looker's Investigation is where you can draw one at a time and choose when to stop.

I know that; I just believe he is mistaken, or else I wouldn't have bothered to post.

He's not mistaken. This new ruling was announced at Worlds.

Yes, you CAN draw 1 card. Then if you want, decide to draw another card, then decide to draw another card, then stop if you want to. You DO NOT have to choose how many cards you draw BEFORE you draw them.

Nothing in recent history has been banned, so there is nothing to worry about.

Slowking and Sneasel were banned (were is the keyword) and Ancient Mew and Birthday Pikachu are banned (yes, they till are).
