US Nationals 2012

Yep. Happiest day of my life, jk.

The happiest day of my life was when I traded a Dialga G for a Luxray GL Lv.X

OKAY BACK ON TOPIC:

I need a really cheap hotel to stay at for Nationals, does anyone have any suggestions?

i think he means what price range you're looking for....and someone i know said they were staying in a hotel on the outskirts of the town for around 60ish

If the price is higher than that, I'm okay as long as it's within walking distance of the hotel (and less than 80 a night, preferably a Marriot since my Mom has enough of their rewards points for free nights).

well not anymore, not this close to nationals.

Less than $80 is unrealistic any time for a city like Indy IMO because there's always conventions down there so the demand for rooms will always be there.

Welp, what's the least expensive any of you guys can find?

I found $95.

I think it was Candlewood Suites downtown.

EDIT: Looks like the "downtown" doesn't mean downtown. The $95 one is a little up the river. :/

I was in Indianapolis a couple of days ago for a vacation (and my mom and dad's conference) and i can recommend "Noodles and Company" for restaraunts. At the Steak and Shake, you have to turn right (if you're going from the convention center) and walk a little ways, and it's there. Everyone was satisfied (there were six of us) so i can recommend the place.

I'm not going though, so, everyone who is going, have fun!

I hate Noodles and Company. I went there with my grandma once and we were not satisfied at all. The food wasn't very good plus my order got screwed up.

^ I only get the Japanese noodles because its the only dish I find tolerable. My sister loves it there because noodles are the only thing she eats :/

Their pasta was so good when I went last year. However, it's funny that you mention your ordered getting screwed up because this guy's waitress accidentally dropped his food so he got a free appetizer or something.

Sounds great.

I love pasta so I'll probably stop by XD. I love the pesto pasta too. The Japanese noodles are to spicy most of the time. (Plus sometimes there is that awkward moment where you slurp the pasta or when it slides out of your month).

Is it nearby? Also, are there any food places in Nats?

/totally doesn't belong on a thread about pasta

@Nigel: Try the Hilton Resort >:]

It's like a two minute walk down the street. There's a couple of stands/places in the convention center, but a lot of people prefer to go to the mall's food court (it's connected to the center) and there's a LOT of restaurants on the street all within a ten minute walking distance.

Some restaurants include:

Noodles and Company
Steak N' Sheak
Champions (their nachos <33333)
St. Elmo's Steakhouse (I think this is a formal restaurant)
Bucca di Beppo (same as above)
