Using PTCGO Codes

I apologize if this is a thread elsewhere, but I could not find it. I was just wondering whether it was a better idea to open up my ptcgo booster pack codes or trade them if I'm trying to make a serious deck. I've got about 25 codes total right now, with about 15 of them being plasma blast, and a few cards I could probably trade for some extra packs. On the one hand, opening them could give me a variety of cards and make it easier to search for what cards in particular I need, but my chances of getting the most important cards are very slim. I've seen that some cards can be selling for over 10 Plasma Blast packs, so if I'll need to get important cards that way I don't want to waste packs by opening them now. What should I do?

I'm not sure what deck I'd build exactly yet, so if that matters let me know. Thanks!

It depends on what deck you are trying to build. Some cards are easier/cheaper to get by trading packs for them instead of trying to pull them, but other cards are better to just try and pull from packs. Also, opening packs can give you trade material to get cards you want.
