Alt. Format Vespiquen / Eeveelutions / Swampert

to bradon: I m sorry but I do not agree in adding Steven. Steven use up the supporter per turn, plus mostly I want to attach DCE to vespiquen. that's why the eevee I use is the AOR one actually. with battle compressor and 4 vs seekers, getting Archie isn't a problem. the bigger problem is still the last card requirement.

The problem with that is assume you do grab a Blacksmith. Your opponent will most likely know what you're doing and could easily Lysandre up that Vespiquen for a quick KO. Blacksmith is okay I suppose in this deck, but the issue is I feel like you'd be spreading the support thin as well possibly setting yourself up with a useless supporter if Flareon is gone. I think for the most part this is quite solid. I could see the deck having issues getting draw power, I would quickly dump the Blacksmith for another PBO or GPF if that's the case but never add Steven.
Blacksmith should be grabbed with VS seeker for the quick 2 energy. I wouldn't grab Blacksmith with Steven, I suggested Steven for tutoring Archie's since we lost comp search. It's slow but it's still there.

My mistake I thought you ran energy evo eevee. As for the last card requirement I can't help you there. There is maintenance but that's even worst that steven (not that I think steven is bad I am a huge advocate for him ^.^).

I think either blacksmith or hex maniac is a must, otherwise it's auto lost against Aegislash ex. still testing for them. this deck shouldn't have any problem in getting the neccessary supporters, as I compress them early game, then use vs seeker depending on occasion. using teammate is easy too, as u can predict knock out. given teammate > Steven, I will not add Steven at the time being. but really appreciate ur input.

ps: I really love the Steven FA in ancient origin

I agree with your assessment of teammates over steven here. I personally don't run Steven in my Vespiquen deck but I do find myself putting it in every other deck I run currently. Only reason I suggest was for Archie's. But since it's not necessary to get swampert out every game like you said you should not run Steven to get it.

I didn't say you should either. I simply stated that it was a bad idea cause Vespiquen is easily to Lysandre up. Yeah but I'm saying the issue with Blacksmith is that it can be a dead supporter. It requires you to play Flareon in order to play Blacksmith and could be better replaced by something that will help consistency. On the same coin it can work if consistency is fine.

I wouldn't use Hex Maniac unless you are sure you can consistently hit 170 before any opposing deck.

hex is for Aegislash ex mostly, also it blocks shaymin ex or hoopa ex from setting up. No, this deck will not hit 170 consistently, 170is likely late game only.

been testing in TCGO for a while, with battle compressor, vs seeker, trainers' mail, ultra ball, its not that hard to pull Archie. once got swampert out, the game will be easy. but bats will be a tough match up.
