RE: Which VirGen to use?

Pyroar isn't a threat right now. While the deck does exist, its effectiveless has been greatly compromised by Donphan, which it strugles to take prizes against, and Seismitoad/ Garbodor. Pyroar/ Seismitoad is what you're most likely to see, but even that is not a commonly played deck. It would be best to just accept an autoless to Pyroar and focus on consistency, unless it's very popular in your local metagame.

Personally, I would go with the Drifblim version since Drifblim has more all-around utility. Being able to attack for no energy via Dimension Valley is a fun idea as well. You might even want to toss in a Mew-EX or two since you can Emerald Slash for just one Grass energy. I'm not sure how effective it is in practice, but it's something some friends and I were discussing. In any sense, Beartic just does't counter common threats in the metagame right now. Pyroar and Landorus are both seldom played, and VirGen does decently against Donphan thanks to Red Signal. You shouldn't have to worry about Yvetal, since that deck already has trouble with VirGen, but you could use Raichu as an alternative to Manectric if you really wanted to.

RE: Which VirGen to use?

I agree with MLK above because Drifblim is useful far more often than Beartic is, not to mention it can hit higher numbers. Beartic would've been a fine choice too, but Donphans play Float Stones most of the time so that could be a pain.

Beartic gives you a great matchup to donphan. All you do is Red Signal and Beartic their Donphan. Then you win.
