Seriously... I'm surprised gardevoir got this far. gengar wasn't surprising, but I thought charizard was gonna end up here.

I'm glad Charizard got instantly knocked out of the running. Just goes to show we aren't dragon-loving pansies around here.

Charizard is just the one Pokemon that gave the show some attitude, it made the first ever season of Pokemon and some episodes beyond so much more watchable. As far as it being a favorite it's up there in everyone's picks but I don't think it'd be #1 for the majority of the people today.

While I did spend some time as a genwunner (mostly during Gen 2), I always thought Venusaur was the best...

I'm sad that ultimately my favorite Pokemon couldn't quite crack the Top 4 but I am pleased that Gengar won. Very successful competition indeed.

I don't even care that much for Gardevoir or Gengar, but I decided to pick Gengar because I'm a first generation guy
