you can always buy the darkrai tin for like 14 bucks
To find a LevelX, you just need to buy boosters, lots and lots of them. For Empoleon, Infernape, Torterra, Lucario, Dialga, Palkia and Cresselia, there are tin cans.
Darkrai Lvl. X is from the Great Encounters set. There's a 95% chance that you will get a Lvl. X in a Great Encounters box. There are 3 Lvl. X's in Great Encounters. So your chances of pulling one are pretty crappy.
Darkrai Lvl. X was also released in a tin as a tin promotional card. They should still be on the shelves. Go check it out. ;D.
Failing that, the tin promo Darkrai Lvl. X's are only worth $3-$5. So you could probably buy it off of somebody.

The tin lv.x is a POP version of the original. It is easier to get hence worth less. They both can be used in tourneys so don't fret although they are of different versions.
If I were you I'd take the tin ones as you can save A LOT of money.

Yes, in tourneys there are different formats. The current major tourneys like nationals will be HP-on{Holon Phantoms}. But depending on the tourney you go to, different rules apply. Like RS-on{Ruby Sapphire}, DX-on{Deoxys} and unlimited{You can use every single card since Pokemon came out except ancient mew and birthday pikachu}

and about the weakness thing.is it really unfair for the EX cards.they took double damage from this weakness,but the DP sets now, can give only up to extra 20 or 30 damage for weakness.so how will it go in tourneys?

Old cards are treated as old cards, any card with no +X beside their weakness takes double damage. And tin lvXs are legal in tournaments.

The old cards were designed with the x2 weaknesses and -30 resistances in mind. The Diamond/Pearl cards were designed with the variable weaknesses and resistances in mind. There are some cards pre D/P that can compete pretty well, so they seem to work.
If you're just getting cards to play and you don't care about the collector's value, the tin Lv. X cards are by far the easiest ones to get. I mean...the only one I've ever gotten out of a booster pack was an Empoleon Lv. X. I've bought multitudes of boosters and never got any but that. (I'm too poor to buy a booster box.) Of course, all this is irrelevant if you're looking for a non-tin Lv. X, like Cresselia.

The tins usually run around $13-15, depending on where you get them. Besides the Lvl. X card, you get 4 booster packs (and therefore a chance to get more Lvl.X's) and a cool tin to put your supplies in.

A reprint means the exact same card through name, HP, attacks and so on. The only difference is the art.
