Ruling Weakness first or resistance first?

A

A Minor

A quick and simple question, but this determines if my deck is fail or not.

So when Kecleon (PL) attacks Pokemon X, and hits Pokemon B for both it's weakness and resistance, which one do you calculate 1st?

For example if Kecleon does 30 damage to Pokemon X, which has a weakness of x2 and a resistance of -20, would Kecleon's damage calculation be:

1. (30 x 2) - 20 = 40

or

2. (30-20) x2 = 20

Please let me know. Thank you.

Weakness is always calculated before resistance. The damage would be 40.~Mark
