Ruling Weezing RR :vs: Salamence Lv.X

This question is a pretty obvious one, but I'm just making sure of it. Would Salamence Lv.X be able to take any Prizes from a confused Weezing from Rising Rivals?

Translation:

Salamence LV.X - {C} - HP160
Level Up

Poke-Power: Double Fall
You can use this Power once during your turn, when you play this card from your hand to Level-Up a Pokemon. During this turn, if this Pokemon Knocks Out any of your opponent's Pokemon with damage from an attack, when you take your Prize card, take 1 additional Prize card for 1 of the Pokemon you Knocked Out.

Discard 1 Energy attached to Salamence.

Weakness: {C}x2
Resistance: {F}-20

Weezing would be an awesome tech in my Gengar deck against him.

While I'm not sure (then again, no one is, considering that these cards aren't released here), I doubt you'll be able to take any prize if Weezing is confused.

But it is hard to tell. Its says "During this turn, IF this Pokemon Knocks Out any of your opponent's Pokemon with damage from an attack" so I say it does get a prize. But then it goes on and says "when you take your Prize card, take 1 additional Prize card for 1 of the Pokemon you Knocked Out" but you probable don't get the first from knocking him out. I just don't get it. I guess I gotta wait.

I don't think Salamence would take a prize. If Weezing is confused, the text says that your opponent can't take a prize, not doesn't take a prize. So if Salamence KO's a confused Weezing and can't take a prize, then you just can't take a prize. Since the Power states that if Salamence takes a prize through the KO. You didn't take a prize when KO'ing Weezing.

Well, since we can't really know until it's released in English, it's hard to say.
But Salamence says "when you take a prize card, take 1 additional prize card."
Weezing prevents Salamence from taking that initial prize card, therefore Salamence wouldn't be able to take the 2nd one.
 
I'd say they make this kinda samey to Pluspower. If you can't do damage, you can't do additional damage. Since they used the word additional I'd guess that would be it.
Also, there should already be a ruling on this cuz of Cress X.
 
Exactly as people have been saying. Weezing's body prevents Salamence from taking a prize. Period. Even though Salamence has a body that allows for a second prize, the first one was never taken, therefore, the second one would not be as well. It's like Cressy X and Moon Skip. Knock out a confused Weezing=no prizes for you!
