This is all my fault. I started the whole "beating everyone" thing. Im apologizing right now. I didn't know you guys would take such a big deal out of it. It was just for fun. Although i do realize saying, "no you didnt beat me" was wrong, i wont do it anymore, if thats what you want. i dont think you should take away the whole entire introductions thread itself, just make rules for people whom are posting to the newbies in there. And besides, i also followed up with a statement welcoming the newcomer. So what? I was doing 20% damage.... it wont happen again from me....
 
As one of the perpetrators, I'm not really one to talk, but it really depends on whether Playerking minds it. Now when people start to post replies about being beaten is silly. If Playerking isn't enjoying it, then we should all stop.

It's just a bit of a joke.
 
I know the discussion kind of ended but I want to sum it up, to let everybody memorize this valuable lesson:

Welcoming people is not a contest, it's to make people feel welcome.
 
It is a way to communicate with new members more closely.It should stay,It is a one other only way to talk to them if they are not familiar to the Pm box's yet.They need this to help them in case hey do not have the time to Pm back and forward.It does not even raise post counts so why it should be of any concern is beyond me.
 
People are still saying oh i beat Playerking, now i'm starting to get annoyed D: it should stay but the competition should stop.
 
This is getting out of hand, seriously people, it really is not a nice way to greet people by saying you beat so and so, that just gives the impression your only greeting them to try and beat someone to it and not actually greet them properly, I still think it should stay, but it has to stop
