RE: Werewolf XVI: A New Melee. Day 3 ends April 19 at 2 PM CST.

Does it look like I'm asking you to trust me? No, because I know that's not really possible. It stopped being a possibility as soon as WW12 ended. I am a marked man whenever I play Werewolf - it doesn't matter my alignment, everyone wants a piece of the action.

And I most certainly don't want to be lynched, but I cannot just outright reject that possibility just because I want to live. I also don't want to reveal my role out of principle as well - PMJ might allow it for this game, but that doesn't mean I think it's a good idea. I think it has potential to ruin or otherwise mar the game, so I don't want anything to do with it. (There are many many things I don't do on principle, mostly for personal reasons. But it's also because I firmly believe that my role is none of your businesses.)

More to the point, the way I see this game day play out, there are 3 (technically 4) lynch options - myself, Teal, Glace, and No Lynch. I do not believe No Lynch is an option, and I'm obviously not going to vote for myself. That leaves Teal and Glace. My vote lies currently on Glace, but I do not want Jay/Bisharp37 to die as well; though I believe Glace is the scum of the earth as far as playing in Werewolf is concerned, I believe Jay/Bisharp37 is innocent and I don't want his blood on my hands if I can help it. I may change my vote to Teal before the day is up.

RE: Werewolf XVI: A New Melee. Day 3 ends April 19 at 2 PM CST.

Revealing won't hurt much if you are a town. Its odd how Teal had your name and then had a wolf in his head. Something odd, which might easily indicate that you are a wolf, happened to you and there is no way to tell if you are or aren't a wolf.

Glace seems suspicious but I'll wait for DNA to reveal. Glace's role seems quite odd as Meta Knight is supposed to be the most powerful character (everyone has stated it) but doesn't get very powerful abilities.

RE: Werewolf XVI: A New Melee. Day 3 ends April 19 at 2 PM CST.

There's no reason to doubt Glace's claim right now. If neither Glace nor Bisharp37 is scum, I would be certain that they are going to die tonight.

I'd probably vote for DNA over Teal or Glace for now. If he's a townie, he has no reason to hide his character name other than he just doesn't want to share it (which I would categorize as anti-town activity in this game). Stating a character name does nothing to determine your abilities, as has been stated before.

RE: Werewolf XVI: A New Melee. Day 3 ends April 19 at 2 PM CST.

Call it whatever you want, Astra. I'm not sharing.

When I played brawl, I didn't think meta knight was that op. he just had that one good attack

Well, the entire competitive fan-base disagrees with you. He's the only character that's banned in tournaments.

RE: Werewolf XVI: A New Melee. Day 3 ends April 19 at 2 PM CST.

I agree with the others, I don't really see too much harm in revealing your name, although you could just as easily lie about it and bait someone into saying "hey you're not xxx, I'm xxx". Like it or not, you're definitely suspicious and a good option for a lynch, along with Teal and Glace. That clock on your head gives me the feeling you're already marked for death, though.

Also, Bo$$, Meta Knight is most definitely OP.

Day 3

Things were off to a good start. The clock and wolf pictures that were drawn on DNA's and Teal's heads provided much discussion. Glace aggressively went after DNA. Others saw that as too aggressive, and started going after Glace. Soon, Flygon2071 said, "Hey guys, let's just chill for a bit. Have a drink." He offered everyone drinks, and they all drunk up. Little did they know that they were drugged and everyone passed out. When they woke up, night was nearly upon them.

"Ha ha! You've wasted the day away! Neener neener neener!" he cackled.

"Oh crap, he's right!" someone else said as the sun went down. They looked at Glace, expecting him to be somehow murdered. Glace cringed, expecting a swift death, but nothing happened. In fact, no one died. Glace shrugged, unaware of why he was still alive but certainly wasn't about to complain. Flygon looked around shiftily. His plan had backfired. What could have happened??? As the town glared murder at him, Flygon fled. As he was running away, he suddenly remembered the lit Bob-omb in his pocket. He pulled it out and tried to throw it away, but it exploded and blew Flygon2071 to smithereens. Flygon2071 was:

Role: Dr. Mario
Alignment: Rejects

You are Dr. Mario. Strangely, your knowledge of medicine has enhanced your skills in battle; you are ranked better than both Marios in both Smash universes. You fight a lot like Mario, but anyone expecting you to be a mere copy is going to be painfully mistaken.

Attack 1: Megavitamins (20/100)

Ability: Middle of the Road
You have access to the Wavedasher's Hangout and may communicate freely in this forum with your fellow Rejects.

Ability: Chill
Once a game during any day you may PM me to use this ability. You will end the day, lynching whoever has the most votes at the time of your PM.

Ability: Louis
Once a night you may PM me the name of any player (including yourself). They will be protected from death for the duration of that night. You can't choose the same player on consecutive nights.

Final Smash: Fever
The next 3 people to hit the next Smash Ball will become sick and die at the end of the next day. They won't know what will happen if they hit it, but they will know something's up with the Smash Ball.

Win Condition: At least one Rejects-aligned player is alive when all other players are dead, or nothing can prevent the same

The town looked on, stunned. "Huh," one player mused. "All right then."

Then everyone went to sleep.

The Final Smash's effect ended.

What a twist! Night 3 ends April 19 at 2 PM. Send your night information to me tonight.

RE: Werewolf XVI: A New Melee. Day 4 ends April 26 at 2 PM CST.

Night 3

"All right, let's get to work!" Wolf said. "No more screwing around!"

And screw around they didn't. They planned and plotted like the scum they were, then Wolf went out and cut open MDL, laughing like a pirate as his innards spilled onto the floor. MDL was:

Role: Jigglypuff
Alignment: Brawlers

You are Jigglypuff, a Pokemon. Despite your cute looks, you are a hardened Smash Bros. veteran and a lot of the characters really respect you. You're also a bit of a troll with your unparalleled aerial skill and deceptively powerful attacks, not to mention your ability to put both people and Pokemon to sleep with your singing... Oh, and you like drawing on people while they sleep. A bit immature, but you're so cute that no one cares.

Attack 1: Pound (15/100)
Attack 2: Rollout (40/40)

Ability: Sing
Once each night you may PM me the name of any player other than yourself. They will be forbidden from speaking during the next day. If any other players voted for you during the previous day, you may choose up to 2 of them and they will be put under the same restriction. You can't choose the same character on consecutive nights.

Ability: Scribbles
Once each night you may PM me the names of up to 3 players and what you would like to draw on each of them. They will wake up with your drawings on their faces. They won't have any effect, but you'll certainly have a laugh after doing so.

Final Smash: Spotlight
When you use this ability, PM me the names of four players other than yourself. The five of you will be the only ones allowed to do anything during the next day. This includes voting, speaking, using abilities, and hitting the Smash Ball, if present. This effect lasts until the end of the next night, and you must choose four players to be in the spotlight. (This Final Smash can only be used at night.)

Win Condition: At least one Brawlers-aligned player is alive when all threats are eliminated

Guilty Spark was pacing, wondering what to do. He went out, inhaled a character, and got... nothing, oddly. As he went back home to sulk, he was ambushed and shot repeatedly. He died. Guilty Spark was:

Role: Kirby
Alignment: Brawlers

You are Kirby, a cute little blob from Dream Land. You eat anything and enjoy using the abilities of your opponents against them.

Attack 1: Stone (30/80)

Ability: Inhale
Once each night you may PM me the name of a player. You will eat that player, learn one of their abilities (chosen at random), and then spit them out. (Not everyone has an ability you can inhale.) The player you eat will know they were eaten, but not that you ate them. You may use this ability every night, but you can only use one of your learned abilities each night. You will receive a new role PM with each learned ability.

Ability: Spiritual Peek
Once per day you may PM me the name of any player. You will learn their full role PM. You can't use this ability unless you are dead. You can't pick the same person on consecutive days.

Ability: ...You're Kidding, Right?
You are immune to all Final Smashes.

Final Smash: Mix
When you use this ability, you will use the Final Smash of a randomly chosen player you have Inhaled.

Win Condition: At least one Brawlers-aligned player is alive when all threats are eliminated

The next morning, everyone saw that Haunted Water was missing. "Is he asleep?" Luckyfire asked, having been in a similar predicament.

"Yep," said someone else. "Can't wake him up for anything. By the way, looks like our artist is at again; someone drew a stick person on Glace and Teal's foreheads. They drew a wolf on DNA's head this time."

"Well, that's just great," said DNA. "Shall we start the discussion?"

Yes. Yes, you will. By the way, thanks for killing off two of the coolest characters in this game, JERKS. grumble grumble

Day 4 begins right now. It ends Friday, April 26 at 2 PM CST. The battlefield will be Lylat Cruise. There are 20 players left; you need 11 votes to lynch.

Send your information to Blah today.

These questionnaire are dumb, or at least Luckyfire's is. Nobody's going to say "lolololol my role is OP, I have Seer" to question 2, and question 1 and 3 are just stupid. And you can guess my answer to question 4. If I absolutely had to pick someone for question 5, it'd be MDL. His answers to the questionnaire seemed wolfy, but again, that's if I had to pick someone. I don't think he's much wolfier then anyone else here.

Thanks for stating the obvious! What I see from this post is champ trying to set up future lynches by naming two possible wolves on his first post. MDL has reasoning to be evasive: the survey sucks. I would have done the same (not wanting to give away I could power up other players). Is Flygon suspicious as well for “wolfy” answer?

UNVOTE Luckyfire
VOTE Flygon2071

Flygon uses this strategy every WW game. I don't think it's very likely that we'll hit a wolf, but I wouldn't call that wolfy.

I think Luckyfire would be the safest lynch. Day 1 doesn't offer us much in terms of info, and I'd hate to go though this whole game not realizing that LF was lying to us. I'd like to see the day out to the end, though, and LF's already got plenty of votes on her, so I say wait.

Presses on Luckyfire. Fluffy post though.

Glace and Teal bring up some good points about Astra. The fact that 2 people noticed his wolfyness makes me think there's a good chance that he's a wolf.

Anyway, no leads except that we're 100% sure that Samus is in this game.

Maybe the Curry makes it so you can't talk, and Blui and Meaty thought it said you couldn't vote, rather then not talk. So it's PMJ's fault for not explaining it well enough. Just thought I wanted to share.

Focuses on relatively unimportant things after bandwagoning. What about going after Luckyfire?

This is true Hypnotic, which is why I am hereby imposing the

Rules and regulations of Final Smashes in WW XVI
From this point on,
1.)You shall immediately reveal if the smash ball is in your possession, so we may track its movements.
2.)You shall NOT attack the smash ball unless you have revealed your final smash and the fact that you have the ball.
3.)If you do obtain the final smash you must immediately reveal this and the powers you have obtained.Based on what your final smash is the town's leaders will tell you what to do with it,until then you cannot use its abilities.

If ANYONE is found to have used their final smash without following any of these guidelines you will be immediately be put under questioning for your actions.

keep close to these guidelines and we won't be destroyed from the inside out by overpowered abilities, goodnight.

Says who? It's very, VERY easy for people to not tell you this information. And what if not enough people are being on the forum in the 12 hour period that they have there Final Smash? And what if they get there Final Smash during the Night?

3.)If you do obtain the final smash you must immediately reveal this and the powers you have obtained.Based on what your final smash is the town's leaders will tell you what to do with it,until then you cannot use its abilities.

Town leaders? AKA you. There's also the problem that the "town leaders" could just be the wolfs getting easy kills on townies.

This seems more like bad playing, rather then wolfish behavior. Unless all the wolfs are morons, they'd all say "nonononono this will not work, it will just get you lynched."

Points out flaws (though after BoSS does). I’m pretty ok with this.

Machamp the Champion said:
Starboard Driger said:
This may seem trivial, but Astra's win condition has a period at the end, while the first post's and Luckfire's do not. This tells me that he didn't just copy/paste from one of those and actually got it from his role PM.

Hmm. Well, I double checked, and my win condition doesn't have a period at the end of it. So, I don't know if that should put any more suspicion on Astra or not.
Looking at Astra's role reveal, it looks like something PMJ wrote. So, I'd say he's in the clear for now.

Unvote: <Astra>

The day is coming to an end, and I really don't see corn bread being a wolf, so I'll go ahead and just vote for Luckyfire now, hopefully outweighing the votes for corn bread. I see no downfall in lynching LF. She's telling the truth, no one dies. She's lying, we most likely get a wolf or Indie. She's lying, and she had a power role, then LF's an idiot for attracting so much attention to herself.

Vote: <Luckyfire>
What took you so long to vote? How will a wolf go down as a result?

Page 5 Posts: 2, 1 informative
Machamp the Champion said:
I have a question; In past Werewolf games, did the win condition have a period at the end of it? Astra may have copied it from another werewolf game. The only other Werewolf games I've played had a different wording for win conditions. Not sure if that would be solid evidence, but it would be nice to know.

DNA said:
That said, that Final Smash is indeed dangerous, and I'm a little paranoid of what will happen if he ever gets a chance to pull it off. If that FS is indeed correct, that means the wolves have the potential to end up with power roles, which is something I'd like to avoid happening at all costs.

Role PM said:
Final Smash: Scrambled Surprise
When you use this ability, all players will randomly swap roles with another living player of the same alignment. This ability does not affect independent players who lack allies.

We don't have to worry about Wolfs getting power roles from townies.

Nitpicks on illogical points. The whole period thing was so desperate.

Machamp the Champion said:
What, what? CENTRAL TIME? who uses Central Time? I thought it was eastern time (like it usually is), so I thought you guys were posting after game freeze. @corn bread: My ability is called Silent Protagonist. All it stated was that I could not speak during Day 1.

Well, gee. That narrow's it down :B

Glace said:
Therefore, Yoshi is probably one of these:

Kirby
Ice Climbers
Mr. Game & Watch

I am leaning towards him being Game & Watch.

Don't forget Mario, Dr. Mario, Link, Toon Link, Young Link, Pokemon Trainer (sorta) and probably a few more I'm forgetting. I'm not exactly sure why it would only work on day 1, but being silent the whole game would be pretty boring. Since it's called "Silent protagonist" I doubt he'd be scum (AKA Dr. Mario or Young Link).

Looking through Starboard Driger's post, I can kind of see where The Yoshi is coming from, but I definitely wouldn't vote for him.

Correcting my post, not much on pursuing reads? What happened to Luckyfire?

Machamp the Champion said:
Hmm, not sure what to think of this... the Psychic kill was probably from Mewtwo, who is a reject, but PMJ said nothing ever came of the wolf's decision. HHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMM.

I'm pretty sure The Yoshi must've been killed by Snake, who uses a Rocket Launcher, and other realistic weaponry. I'm guessing Snake and Sonic are 2 of our Indies, since they're the only non Nintendo characters.

I agree that the Alpha Wolf is probably an inactive. But there's actually other people being kinda wolfy now, so we can wait until we resort to that.

I'm guessing that DNA is not Jigglypuff, since he was asleep, and people were still drawn on last night.

That comment from DNA about the wolf on Teals head, and the person who drew it was a pretty good artist, it makes it seem like DNA may be Wolf (the character), since he likes a drawing of a wolf. But that's completely stupid, since it was something the game host said, that was out of anyone else's control, and being outed as the alpha wolf by the game host because "it was cleaver story telling/writing" or whatever isn't fair to the player.

Teals aggression towards DNA makes me think Teal might be a wolf, but-

GARG! I don't know what the heck to think of today so far, so I'll just be over here, lurking, for now. :>

Yes, that's a Donkey Kong stage. Good thing this isn't the actual game, because I loath that stage! X_X

Interesting theory on what happened over night. But we must not over focus on the past. This post has little about what to do in the future. Not too bad though.

Seems really desperate for an excuse.

Glace seems like the best lynch, in my opinion. His aggressiveness, and what others have been saying seem to make him out as a wolf.
I'll hold out my vote, since if I vote for him, it will probably start a bandwagon, and I'd like to see more of this day play out, to be honest. There's a lot of juicy stuff going on.

Everyone knows you can bandwagon, you don’t need to get proving it!

I'm not sure what to think now... :/

This role looks fake to me.
"Boost" is the dullest name for something that's supposed to be awesome I've ever seen, and it's also just a generic ability in terms of effects.
Shuttle Loop is also a terrible attack that's supposed to be from the most over-powered character in the game. PMJ would add more subtle commentary on how OP he is then what Jay/Glace claim to be Meta Knights powers.
Also, why would Glace say "So you trust me" after Jay said he would be fine with both of them dying, if Glace seemed suspicious enough to him.

Just noticed this:
Luckyfire's role said:
Role: Sonic
Alignment: Brawlers

You are Sonic the Hedgehog, coolest dude this side of Final Destination. You were included in this game thanks to fan request. Years of foiling Eggman's plans has solidified you as one of the good guys - you hope that the others will look favorably on you despite the fact that you aren't "one of them."

Attack 1: Spin Dash (5/100)

Ability: You're Too Slow!
You can't be killed at any time during the day. (This includes via lynching.)
Astra's role said:
Role: Yoshi
Alignment: Brawlers

You are Yoshi, the lovable slave from the Mushroom Kingdom. You've been abused by everyone in the Kingdom for far too long, so now it's time to stand up and fight for your dinosaur rights which I just made up.

Ability: Poached Prowess
Once each night you may choose any player other than yourself. You will swallow that player, and will put them in an egg. Being in an egg will prevent them from using any abilities during the night. However, you will also protect them from any harm during that same night.

Win Condition: At least one Brawlers-aligned player is alive when all threats have been eliminated.

Notice how Astra's role reveal adds a lot more flavor to his Ability text (bolded the part I'm talking about). Luckyfire's and Glace's just say what you need to know, and nothing else. My role adds some flavor to the Ability, so this kind of makes me suspicious of Glace and Luckyfire. I'll go with Glace right now, since he's the hot topic right now.
There just seems to be no saving grace for Glace (alliteration :3). He seems really wolfy at this point.

Vote: Glace (Voted in Green, because Green is a color)

Or we just have simple roles. Faulty logic as indies often have complicated roles.
