RE: Werewolf XVIII: The Blank Game: Day 1 ends Saturday Sept. 28 at 12pm MST
All right. If it will shut you up, I will explain myself.
camoclone sent out a mass PM to...I think every player in the game. I could look over who he didn't send it to but I doubt he missed anyone. I was on the mailing list. It had a link to the night chat.
I replied with a "no thank you; keep me off your mailing list" and left it at that.
Afterwards, Eagle4 and I talked near the outset of the game, over IRC. (The log was sent to Astra.) The end result of that conversation was that I told him that I don't wish to use the night chat primarily for personal reasons. I play Werewolf primarily for myself, because I can trust no one, and in turn, nobody trusts me either.
I know this game permits OC talk, but just because you can...well, it doesn't mean you should, or even want to. Take 2 games ago, for example, the one that was Smash Bros themed. Quoting role PMs was allowed, even if they were fake. I refused to post any role PM, real or fake, in the game thread, for any reason. I even told my wolf partners this. It would have been in my best interest to post one, but I chose not to. Why? I felt it went against the spirit of the game.
I feel OC talk is similar to this as well. I feel it goes against the spirit of the game, and due to personal reasons, I don't wish to have a part in it. I feel it is an unfair advantage. I don't want to give myself an unfair handicap and come into information that I as a player really should not possess.
The fact that Eagle4 is bitter towards me for refusing the offer is merely the result of that. I did not entice him in any way to act that way at me. He has a grudge against me of his own free will.
Thus, for the entire game, I will make it clear that I will not be using OC chat of any kind, with any player. This applies to any of you. If you try to pester me about it, expect to be shot down.

RE: Werewolf XVIII: The Blank Game: Day 1 ends Saturday Sept. 28 at 12pm MST
Your expections are wrong if you feel like it is against the spirit of the game. If the game encourages you to OC, it's a fact that it's not against the spirit of the game, it's part of it. This game is different and you should accept it. :c Open-mindedness can't hurt you, it's a game, feel free to try something new once in a while.
I don't like you? I haven't insulted you in every game we have played together. I voted for you because you are scum.
I can respect you playing this game your way however... Please do it so you can contribute if you re town. I know you smart enough to know what contributing is.
Ok, I'm going to try and start some discussion outside of DNAs and camos bickering.
Inb4 koopa troopa is serial killer lol. So, there probably is a chicken and koopa character if Astra is simply not just spouting nonsense. And we all know that roosters crow in the morning, not chickens, so idk what is up with that. Koopa's sentence is weird, maybe I'm reading into this too much, but maybe there is a town or indie aligned koopa who can kill. Usually koopa would be scum, but Astra said that the character had no affect on alignment (like jiggly puff serial killer lol) and the koopa said he didn't know if the chicken is scum. Maybe the shell that camo said he had is a dead koopa, and that another shell could be obtained by killing a koopa, maybe something that a Mario character could use to kill or something. Notice how Astra said "a koopa" instead of the koopa. That leads me to believe there's more than one in this game, with maybe one being dead in the shell that camo said he had. Also what does the palm do(I remember something said about a kid Icarus palm). Ok that's all I have to say for know.
RE: Werewolf XVIII: The Blank Game: Day 1 ends Saturday Sept. 28 at 12pm MST
I don't see at all how it implies that there are many koopas. Especially when it's a fact that every character is in this game only once. Astra said that if you send in a double, he will ask you to resend...

Also, now that I have read DNA's response (I didn't realize there was another page), that doesn't really seem genuine. How is it against the spirit of the game if it is part of the game? If you really want to be helpful then you would use it and be glad about it.
RE: Werewolf XVIII: The Blank Game: Day 1 ends Saturday Sept. 28 at 12pm MST
My night role.
Once per night, I can select any 1 player. If that player attempts to change alignments that night, that attempt will be negated, and I will be alerted as such.
I noticed PMJ during sign-ups mention something about alignment changes, so when I received my role, on a hunch, I decided to use it on him first, and see what happened.
When the day started, I was told that my attempt to block his alignment change...was successful.
My role doesn't tell me which way the alignment change goes. All I am told is whether or not I blocked someone from switching allegiances that night. That is all I know, and I know PMJ has the capacity to do this.
But the very existence of my role should suggest that there are multiple players out there who can change their alignments, one way or the other. And I can block that. This could make me a potential threat. The catch is I actually have to select the specific person trying to switch sides, but that doesn't mean players aren't going to try and kill me.
##VOTE: PMJ
In the past I know that most alignment swaps have been town to scum. I have no reason to doubt that is the case for this game. I will push for a PMJ lynch at this time, based on the information I've been given.
I probably won't last long in this game, having come clean day 1, but that is the choice I have made. Do with this information what you will.

Okay, on an unrelated note, why did SheNinja vote for Grant, again?
RE: Werewolf XVIII: The Blank Game: Day 1 ends Saturday Sept. 28 at 12pm MST
Ok looooooooooooooooong post.
First off, here be the discussion which took place N0 between DNA and I:
<Eagle4>: yo
<Eagle4>: mind talking to me about the blank game?
<Hazama>: 'lo
<Hazama>: the what?
<Hazama>: oh ww
<Eagle4>: the latest werewolf
<Hazama>: depends
<Eagle4>: well
<Eagle4>: not talking about it is rather anti-game
<Eagle4>: anyways
<Hazama>: that's just your opinion
<Hazama>: but go on anywa
<Hazama>: y.
<Eagle4>: why are you refusing the night chat?
<Hazama>: Because I gain nothing from it.
<Eagle4>: it's a huge part of the game we should take to our advantage
<Eagle4>: you gain nothing from it?
<Hazama>: Not a thing.
<Eagle4>: i am fairly sure that you being an experienced player can gain something from it
<Eagle4>: such as reading people and their actions
<Hazama>: Yeah: to trust nobody.
<Eagle4>: finding info
<Eagle4>: which has already been shown in the chat
<Hazama>: Okay, so I read people. What of it?
<Eagle4>: ... you can then point out whether they are scummy or not
<Eagle4>: also
<Eagle4>: <Eagle4>: finding info
<Hazama>: So, finding out info about you does what, exactly?
<Hazama>: Tells me whether or not I can trust you?
<Eagle4>: ah, as in info which may be important
<Eagle4>: if you're looking for an item, etc
<Eagle4>: info about roles which have been publically revealed
<Eagle4>: join the chat; there is no harm in doing so
<Hazama>: I will play the game how I choose to play it.
<Eagle4>: mm
<Eagle4>: yeah you can do that
<Eagle4>: although i am not a fan of your way of playing the game
<Hazama>: That's okay. Nobody is.
<Eagle4>: perhaps you should listen to those who dislike it then
<Hazama>: Telling me anything is always the amateur's mistake.
<Eagle4>: oh man
<Eagle4>: you have a lot to learn
<Hazama>: As do you.
<Hazama>: Coming to me was your first mistake; asking me to cooperate was your second.
<Hazama>: I play Werewolf games for no one but myself.
<Eagle4>: ...
<Hazama>: Doesn't matter whose team I end up playing on.
<Eagle4>: DNA CONFIRMED WOLF
<Hazama>: Consider that a hint, eh?
<Hazama>: And we'll see who laughs in the end.
<Eagle4>: and i'd regard your actions as rather scummy in the sense that refusing to partake in discussion would be seen as "active lurking", or trying to hide away and give no info tho the point where you have something to hide
<Hazama>: It would, except I always do this.
<Eagle4>: such as, you being a mafioso for example
<Eagle4>: you always do this cause it is only NOC games on pokebeach
<Eagle4>: this is an OC game
<Eagle4>: treat it that way
<Hazama>: heh! You really want a hint that badly, didn't you?
<Eagle4>: ...
<Eagle4>: Soooo you've hinted that you're actually mafioso..?
<Hazama>: I've only hinted that I play WW games for no one but myself. My alignment is meaningless. Town, scum, indie, it doesn't matter.
<Eagle4>: So you're very arrogant in the way you play mafia? Don't be, factions are teams.
<Hazama>: Extremely arrogant.
<Eagle4>: There is no "I" in faction. Oh wait..
<Hazama>: They don't trust me, and I don't trust them either.
<Eagle4>: Perhaps you don't trust them because you have no evidence of them being village/mafia
<Eagle4>: in which case, discussion would help you find that out
<Eagle4>: sooo you're playing both anti-game and anti-DNA lol
<Hazama>: Discussion would help.
<Hazama>: Except there's absolutely no reason to trust you.
<Eagle4>: It would yes
<Eagle4>: ...
<Hazama>: Thus, why would I want to tell you anything?
<Eagle4>: which is why you should discuss
<Eagle4>: my god
<Eagle4>: i'm not trying to get any info out of you
<Hazama>: Your argument is so circular it's making me dizzy.
<Eagle4>: i'm asking you why you refused the night chat
<Eagle4>: ah dear
<Eagle4>: DNA, you trust nobody. With discussion, you can find out if a person is village or mafia. Yet you choose to ignore the discussion because you can't trust it..
<Eagle4>: Am I correct in thinking that you haven't played an OC game? Forgive me if I'm mistaken
<Hazama>: Why not just wait for the day discussion?
<Hazama>: I can use that just fine. And I don't have enough time or memory to keep up with TWO discussion threads.
<Eagle4>: more discussion > discussion
<Eagle4>: DNA
<Eagle4>: <Eagle4>: Am I correct in thinking that you haven't played an OC game? Forgive me if I'm mistaken
<Eagle4>: answer pls
<Hazama>: No idea what the hell that means.
<Eagle4>: a game where you are allowed outside contact
<Hazama>: Oh. No, of course not. That's silly.
<Eagle4>: outside contact mafias are... silly?
<Eagle4>: x_x x_x
<Hazama>: Are you about done, yet? You've angered me beyond my usual threshold and I honestly do not see the merit in anything you suggest.
<Eagle4>: my previous statement of "you have a lot to learn" probably applies here
<Hazama>: If that's all you have, I'm going to go back to work now.
<Eagle4>: ok cya
<Eagle4>: saving chat
<Eagle4>: tis important
<Hazama>: I will also send Astra a copy.
<Eagle4>: ah okay no need for me to do so then
<Hazama>: I also expect you to not talk to me about the game ever again.
<Eagle4>: oh man
<Eagle4>: are you serious?
<Eagle4>: in which case
<Hazama>: I don't think you have gotten it through your thick skull that I do not like you.
<Eagle4>: you're either a really bad OC player or a really bad OC mafia player
<Eagle4>: oh believe me i have
<Hazama>: How can I better drive the point home?
<Eagle4>: and ohoho the insults
<Eagle4>: but i thought you were more sensible than to not leave our past temperments behind
<Eagle4>: for lack of a better word
<Hazama>: it's just a game lol
<Hazama>: why not relax and have fun, for once?
<Eagle4>: it is
<Eagle4>: i am
<Hazama>: k
<Eagle4>: but i also want to win
<Hazama>: I don't care about winning
<Eagle4>: otherwise what's the point in partaking in it
<Hazama>: to have fun, what else?
<Hazama>: you must be new here.
<Eagle4>: lol
<Eagle4>: indeed i am new to pokebeach
<Hazama>: I'll give you yet another hint:
<Hazama>: In regards to Werewolf games,
<Eagle4>: yet mafia? not so much
<Hazama>: I can't win.
<Eagle4>: because of name killing sure
<Hazama>: because I've screwed the town over, intentionally or otherwise, far too often.
<Hazama>: so I play WW games in the name of laughter and other cheap lulz
<Eagle4>: well then, that's something to learn from?
<Eagle4>: ah ok
<Hazama>: don't take it personal.
<Eagle4>: nah i don't
<Hazama>: I just play for fun, not to win.
<Eagle4>: although i /will/ talk to you about this game more in the future
<Hazama>: if you really want to try to win, you need to find someone else.
<Hazama>: don't die along with me.
<Eagle4>: haha
If he's scum, as you say he is, then why pressure votes? Why not lynching him outright? Please don't blatantly state that somebody is scum and leave it at that; the way you put it, it seems like DNA is confirmed scum to you. Don't jump to conclusions straight away!

Uhhhh, the only way you will be able to trust someone is by having reads of them and looking at the way they play. If you're not posting in Night Chat, or using OC at all, you will have less reads and become a useless player who may indeed just follow bandwagons because you haven't developed any opinions of your own. OC gives a greater opportunity for you to get reads on people, something you're neglecting. By choosing to not use OC, you're trapped in a nasty cycle where you can't trust anybody.

Both Teal and SheNinja have already stated how ludicrous of a statement this is, and I agree with them wholeheartedly. If it's in the rules, it's in the spirit of the game. To suggest otherwise is plain stubbornness. Unfair advantage? In what way? Unfair handicap? Please elaborate. Your idea of mafia games is very rigid, and so EVERY game must be the same as your idea, otherwise parts of it is "wrong". When I asked you if you have played an OC before, you replied "No, of course not, that's silly". I really think that you just don't understand OCs, which is why you're thinking in this way. Believe it or not, OCs are much more common and popular than NOCs. Please be a little more flexible and adapt to the rules~

This looks to me like blatantly avoiding discussion. "Nobody can talk to me because I dislike OC" is... suspicious to say the least. It's almost as if you're avoiding discussion to decrease the possibility of you having a scum slip. Also, your description of me applies to you as well. The only difference is that I wanted the grudge to cease, and you decided that that couldn't be a possibility. But could you please leave all of this aside and play this game without distractions such as those? Thanks <3

"BAWK BAWK BAWKA"
"Ugh why did that chicken wake us up so early. I'd kill it if I could but I don't know if it's scum or not", said a Koopa Troopa
Everyone walked out of their houses groggily. No one was really ready to start scumhunting this early in the morning, but they knew it had to be done.
The villagers woke up from their beds relieved that everyone was still there. Yet there still felt like there was bad blood in the town.
Ok, I'm going to try and start some discussion outside of DNAs and camos bickering.

This seems like an awful amount of assuming.. I have a feeling that you may be hinting at something, aka your role. Either that or you indulge in quickly assuming stuff with no real evidence, such as camoclone's idea of a James and DNA scumteam...
Anyway, I was gonna change my vote away from DNA but DNA has done nothing to convince me otherwise. His reasoning is really feeble at the moment, sorry.
Not quite. If he is a villager, that means he's a villager that could become a wolf. If he's a wolf, that means he's a wolf that could become a villager. The latter is not nearly as likely.
I mean, I see where you're going with that, but you're a little off. You want to see his role card, not just his alignment.

...
I come here in a bad mood to see these posts against DNA whom was bandwagoned out of the blue.
I'd just yell at you guys, but that'd just make you lynch me for just siding with nobody. I'm just saying. I mean, somebody votes for somebody and all of the sudden there's a bandwagon? The posts don't state any good reason. And leave him alone guys, he made it a point he doesn't want to nightchat. If you want everyone to participate, don't FREAKING force them to be in and drive them insane.
...ah, nobody's going to listen to me because I never make sense anyways. So I'll just yell at people because everyone ignores me. ASDFGHJKLWSRJNTDY YOU ALL ARE IDIOTS AND I'M IN A BAD MOOD SO IGNORE ME
RE: Werewolf XVIII: The Blank Game: Day 1 ends Saturday Sept. 28 at 12pm MST
DNA, you are wrong. If someone can read correctly two mafia and two town in one day, you can at least try to do the same. You are wrong in not trusting anybody. You shouldn't trust just anyone, but with no effort there will not be results.
After my performance in the current spinoff I can fully expect to be killed early on. You must learn to trust people who deserve your trust. Remember that once I'm gone. Just don't trust the wrong people...
Oh, but trust doesn't mean blind trust. Keep that in mind.
About PMJ. Alignment changes sound extremely dangerous.
