Does anyone else remember the game (I think it was 2 games ago) where the town found a confirmed serial killer? And instead of killing him, we struck a deal. Because he's pretty much threatened with death, we could tell him to kill whoever we wanted. Basically a second lynch, and if we didn't want him to kill, he didn't. A second lynch is obviously extremely beneficial to the town. If he killed anybody without the permission of the town, we would lynch him the next day. And instead of lynching him today, we can try to go for the wolves (which, you need to remember, are what we really need to take down).
We don't know for sure KoN is the SK. I personally feel like Drohn was trying to get the pressure off of himself. Keeping an SK around for a while sounds fine to me, but once end-game draws near, it would be pretty dangerous to keep him alive in case of extra Porygon-aligned cronies or a surprise extra kill that somebody had been saving. Drohn's win condition is incompatible with the town's and should we lose an extra townie that we didn't expect (he could also kill somebody without our permission on the last night) it would be gg for us.
