I think side games should be started after multiple people have already died in the main game so they have something to do and have the ability to really focus on the side game. Everyone still around in the main game can focus on that game or play in both if they know for sure they have enough time to actively participate in both.

From now on we'll try to organise it so that side games start in the middle/end phases of a main game (depending on how long the side game lasts there can be 1-2 per main game I guess). Sign ups shouldn't happen at the same time. If a side game is still in progress when a main game ended we'll wait for the side game to end before starting the new main game.

I can chop roles if we don't make signups but I would really prefer not to...

So, do the roles include former members as well as newer ones? If so, I bet Zero and DNA's roles are amazing.

I can't confirm nor deny putting either of those two in the game, but I will say that the character list is comprised of names you guys should recognize.

This is mind-blowing. Ten games ago a shortage of signups would be unheard of. What happened?

I think it's time we do... :( I doubt that we will get 7 more people to signup. It's too bad that some people's roles will be removed from the game though.

The quality of the games went down to too much vanilla/super-gimmick (in the sense of game mechanics) content and people got less interested.

I would have to disagree. Personally, if I was a long-time member of Pokébeach, role madness game after role madness game after role madness game would get so incredibly boring I would leave. We need vanilla, gimmick and role madness games together (maybe with a bit of OC thrown in such as corn bread's game!) to have a well-balanced sub forum.

Because there were more members back then who cared to play... This is like saying because more people bought ketchup in 1998 than in 2008 and there was more flu in 2008, ketchup prevents the flu. I believe this is called a false cause.

Probably because people didn't want to try and learn a new type of Werewolf.

Edit: Also what Camo said, I guess. IDK how many members there were back then! :p

It's fine. It wasn't easy, but I managed to cut the roles down to 22.

There is still a non-zero number of vanilla townies.

I will send out the roles later. Sorry for the wait.

Looking forward to the game starting! :D

Also, I don't really think the lack of sign-ups has much, if anything, to do with the type of WW/Mafia games that have been held lately. Other games here have also been slower and there's not as much activity on other parts of the boards too. We're just in a pocket of lower amounts of activity; all forum communities ebb and flow like this from time to time.

Either that, or I scared everyone away.

Roles are going to be passed out in the order you signed up. Please confirm in-thread when you receive your role.
