What are we getting in Noble Victories?

I actually wish there were more holos in the B&W sets. I feel like they're really lacking? Like Mandibuzz, Scolipede, Gigalith, Leavanny etc. should've been holos as far as I'm concerned. Yeah, I'm not just horribly impressed with Black and White so far if people can't tell. (though I have grown to enjoy the new holo styling)

The number of standard holos in BW and EP is about how many there usually are for sets of their sizes, maybe slightly fewer. BW has 12 out of 114 cards and EP has 10 out of 98.

Compare that to Great Encounters (11/106 holos), Majestic Dawn (14/100), Arceus (12/99), Unleashed (11/95), Undaunted (10/90) and Triumphant (12/102).

Base Set had 16/102, Jungle had 16/64 and Fossil had 15/62. Jungle and Fossil had 48 cards in Japan, with no non-holographic rares and Mew being the 48th card in Japanese Fossil.

Personally, I always kind of resented that English Jungle and Fossil were 25% holo, especially because another 25% were those same rares but non-holographic. In hindsight I wish they had combined the two sets into one, picking and choosing which of the rares remained holo and which were bumped down to non-holos.

Also, assuming that NV has all of Red Collection's holos, that would mean there's at least 9 holos out of 100+ cards. But they could upgrade something else to holo status like they did to Braviary in EP... namely, the two Victini cards, or maybe the Cofagrigus, in the Victini Decks.

---

Unrelated to the talk of holos, here's a comparison between the first three Gen I and Gen V sets in terms of new Pokemon:
Set #1: Base Set introduced 69 Pokemon, BW introduced 72 Pokemon.
Set #2: Jungle introduced 45 Pokemon, EP introduced 26 Pokemon.
Set #3: Fossil introduced 36 Pokemon, NV will introduce 54 Pokemon presumably (153 - 72 - 26 - 1, for Axew).

Cofagrigus deserves to be holo. Point blank. Victini and the cutesy legendaries tend to get far too much attention. I've always resented the fact that such tiny, cute (and half the time, merely variations of Pikachu) animals are amongst the most powerful and popular creatures in the game.

Well this might explain where some more of those unknown and not Red Collection cards could possibly come from.

All new sets start off with little to no value outside of the rarer to pull cards such as SR and UR cards (and even then unless it's extremely elusive it stays relatively low unless it's again said SR/UR cards). It's why you jump on the sets ASAP if you're a collector so you can accrue a full set without paying a heinous price. Down the track and certainly after they've been rotated out thus won't be sold anywhere outside of second hand on eBay and the likes they're just harder to obtain.

Oh that explains why Reshiram and Zekrom and the Pikachu aren't that expensive on eBay. Neo Genesis, Base sets and well pretty much the sets from 90's are going for crazy prices on eBay... definitely gonna buy a box for Noble Victories when it comes out... ...or maybe I should wait till Hail Blizzard and Psycho Drive arrive since they have some awesome stuff and well the shiny Hydreigon is gonna be more valuable than the regular one from Noble Victories... hmm... maybe I'll just wait till I have cash to burn. So if there's 5 full art rares for this set... and if those are taken by Victini, N, Cobalion, Verizion and Terrakion... that doesn't leave room for a full art Kyurem now does it? Man that's the one I wanted but I'll have to wait for Kyurem EX. ...why is N a full art..? That's gonna be a disappointing pull to be honest. I mean, I like the dude but I don't want to waste a pack pulling his card.

I'd hope that they'd make a non-EX FA Kyurem somewhere down the road, it seems odd to just leave him as the only left out legendary.

(Unless the Landorus in the upcoming kit is an EX, leaving him out of a FA as well, then I'd say we never get a Kyurem)
