XY What Cool New Pokémon / Evolution Do You Want to See in the 6th Generation?

RE: What cool new Pokemon do you want to see in the 6th generation?

I'm surprised a Rock/Poison type hasn't been made yet.

What about Psychic/Dark? O-o only one weakness, Bug.

Yeah, and that one is quadruple! How interesting o:

I always thought Mewtwo should be the first to use that combo somehow...
Even the Bug weakness is a fun twist, with how Mewtwo is the first uber legendary, and quite a special case (in that its artificial and unique instead of an ancient legendary like the mascots) and how Bug collecting was the inspiration for Pokemon, and that would be the fatal weakness of this monster.

Thinking about it.....the upcoming movie does pit Mewtwo against a destructive Bug type, Genesect.

Also, right now the movie doesnt even include any 100% new pokemon design, so there will probably still be some surprising reveal in there (and usually it has to do with the main roles..)

If they ever wanna give Mewtwo a new forme or something along those lines, now would be the perfect timing o__o
Heck Mewtwos third movie appearance would actually make sense then instead of looking like a random last-minute filler co-star or something right now.

Take a Muk. Give it a Rocky Helmet. Level-up. Evolve. Voila. New Muk evolution and a Rock-Poison type.

Hegafire0, that goes back to a discussion about adding new evolutions and not being able to re-use existing items on existing pokemon for said evolutions. In short, it would only breed confusion as gen 5 users would be trying to evolve their Muks with no success (if what you suggested was implemented).

Omg... New Mewtwo form? I'd die of happiness. XD

Maybe there will be another form of Genosect? Like the one that was before
he turned into the Genosect we see now. Without armor or something?
Legendary fossil lol. XD

I think it being shiny is already the one gimmick it gets for the movie....Mewtwo on the other hand is plain boring mewtwo right now o__O

RE: What cool new Pokemon do you want to see in the 6th generation?

i would love for more dark type pokemon or even a dark gym

RE: What cool new Pokemon do you want to see in the 6th generation?

Mewtwo forme after 13 years and V gens later? No, just no...

RE: What cool new Pokemon do you want to see in the 6th generation?

Sooooooooooo not into a Mewtwo forme. It's completely unnecessary. Especially after all these years.

I want a Bug/Dragon type. A possible Yanmega evolution maybe? And a Grass/Dragon type. And a Dark/Electric type.

RE: What cool new Pokemon do you want to see in the 6th generation?

I doubt Yanmega would evolve simply due to it having special evolution requirements (only Mon that evolves after is Pory-Z), and it's BST is over 9000 500, but maybe a split evo to Yanma, trading whilst holding a new item?

Also, Dark/Electric and Grass/Dragon are two major wants on my list. And Poison/Dragon.

RE: What cool new Pokemon do you want to see in the 6th generation?

While we're on the topic of Legendaries, I'd love for them to do something with the 3rd gen Legendaries. Lugia was the BOMB

RE: What cool new Pokemon do you want to see in the 6th generation?

I don't mean to spoil your fun but there are two problems with that... 1.) Lugia is second generation and 2.) Legendaries can't breed so there's no way to get a back to a lower evolution should you evolve it. Legendaries are generally have high base stats anyway, so any evolution would likely be either too powerful or weaker than the prior version. All in all, it's not a great idea. Changing forms works because it is reversible.

RE: What cool new Pokemon do you want to see in the 6th generation?

Definitely a Ghost/Steel Pokemon w/ Heatproof or Levitate, and Magnet Rise. Make it a new Sableye / Spiritomb perhaps?

Or a split Bronzor evo? I've designed one before and it has the same abilities but different stat spreads and a different movepool.

Hey, remember the baby Lugia from the episodes Parent Trapped! and a Promise is a Promise? Maybe they will finally decide to change Lugia, (maybe all legendaries) into both male and female genders. If they did, I can't think of any affect it would have on anything. I agree with Chrono, not only Lugia, but forms would be cool for some legendaries (Heatran) and I always thought that being a legendary shouldn't take away your gender. It made no sense to me.

RE: What cool new Pokemon do you want to see in the 6th generation?

Unfortunately, the fact that it is breedable would, in fact, detract form it's legendary status. How would the legendaries be special if you could just breed as many as you wanted? The way it is now works and I (as well as many others) see no benefit in enabling legendary pokemon to breed. We already have the move reminder to re-teach moves they learn at lower levels and now the Join Avenue to EV train them even at level 100. There's not even a reason to have them at a low level anymore (not like it ever had a benefit in the first place). My final point is that the Anime is not canon. Numerous times battles are won there using non-attack moves (most notably double team). Even the 4kids addition "Who's that pokemon" demonstrates they actually knew very little about the games, as noted in one that said Seviper evolves from Arbok.

Ghost/Steel is something I definitively hope for, too. I always thought a ghost taking over a knight's armor could be a neat solution.

As much as I would like to see Levitate or Heatproof attached to it, such a beast would be way OP and I fear it would be punished with low BS in return.

As for Dragon/Poison: I'm cautiously optimistic that we will see this combination embodied by the 3rd legendary this Gen (as it may be based on the snake-like dragon Nidhogg, another mythological creature that is related to the World Tree Yggdrasil, just like Xerneas/Yveltal). Also, first Poison legendary is a must after five generations without.

Other things I like to see include:
  • pre-evos for rather mature Pokemon (Lapras, Skarmory, Tropius, Absol, Onix, Kangaskhan, Druddigon, Bouffalant)
  • evos for rather immature and ignored Pokemon (Dunsparce, Qwilfish, Shuckle, Spinda, Luvdisc, Chatot, Farfetch'd, Delibird, Basculin)
  • more (and primarily non-legendary) combinations of former special types (Electric/Fire, Electric/Psycho, Electric/Dark, Fire/Plant, Fire/Ice, Water/Fire, Dragon/Grass) and other interesting combinations (Bug/Ice, Grass/Ghost, Psycho/Dark, Electric/Fighting, Fighting/Flying (regarding this, I hope for Yveltal)
  • split-evos that emphasize different facets of existing Pokemon (also in the distribution of their stats), like non-trade evolutions of Karrablast/Shelmet, a male counterpart of Vespiquen or alternative evolutions of Pokemon that differ widely from their existing evolutions, like Trapinch, Clamperl, Exeggcute, Remoraid, Shroomish, Numel or Flaaffy. I'd also like to see those split-evos for Dragonair (serpent-like counterpart of Dragonyte, maybe Dragon/Water) and Shelgon (non-airworthy Dragon/Steel counterpart of Salamence with high def stats), though I highly doubt there will be alternative evos in a pseudo-legendary line after all.

Things I don't like to see include:
  • Fennekin's evos turning out to be Fire/Fighting
  • the introduction of new types, especially those fan-speculated and insubstantial Light and Sound types
  • an excessive amount of unnecessary weird-looking evolutions for old Pokemon (like Magnezone, Lickilicky, Tangrowth, Probopass and others in Gen 4)

RE: What cool new Pokemon do you want to see in the 6th generation?

I'm not saying it should be breedable, I'm saying it should get some sort of alternate form.

RE: What cool new Pokemon do you want to see in the 6th generation?

Am I the only one who doesn't want a whole lot of pre-evos and evolutions of old pokemon.
Maybe a couple but they have to look amazing.
I would like to see female legendary trio
More pure Flying types.
3 Staged pure dark type pokemon
