What deck do you think Darkrai Gx will be good in?
My response -
It's pretty obvious that Darkrai GX is gonna to be one of the biggest if not the biggest card in Burning Shadows, and it's not really easy to tech into any deck if you want to take advantage of both the ability and the GX attack (Most people will just use the ability but people like me want to use the GX attack, too)

Darkrai-GX – Darkness – HP180
Basic Pokemon

Ability: Resurrection
Once during your turn (before your attack), if this card is in your discard pile, you may play this card to your Bench and attach 1 [D] Energy from your discard pile to this card.

[D][D][C] Dark Rift: 130 damage. This attack’s damage isn’t affected by Resistance.

[D][D][C] Dead End GX: If your opponent’s Active Pokemon is affected by a Special Condition, that Pokemon is now Knocked Out. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack a game.)

When your Pokemon GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize Cards.

Weakness: Fighting (x2)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 2

So now that you see what I mean let's go over my favorite option (I REALLY want to build this) - Mega Gardevoir/Darkrai GX. It may seem a little weird at first but when I explain it, it may make a little more sense.
First off, with Mega Gardevoir's attack Despair Ray, you can just discard every Darkrai on your bench (Hopefully it's 4) Then next turn, just resurrect them all, and just KO your way to victory. But there's two problems, we have Alolan Muk (and Silent Lab and maybe Garbodor (I don't know about him) This is in expanded after worlds) Usually, I would recommend playing this deck in expanded, but I don't really know because that Hex Maniac would really come in handy in expanded. Hex Maniac only affects Pokémon during your opponent's next turn, not yours (but to be honest I am a little shaky on that part) and also there's one more card I want to talk about that could be good in this deck. Hypnotoxic Laser.
This card would work so well in this deck it's unbelievable. Once you get down to a few prizes with Gardevoir, retreat her out and put in a Darkrai (make sure you Max Elixir him up before sticking him in the active) Then play the Laser and use Dead End. Nice finishing move, but only use it if you feel comfortable using it, only if you know it will work. If not, then get back to Gardevoir, just make sure you decide before Retreating. I just hope the Laser doesn't get banned

As always, the translations are subject to change, but depending on the starting hand, this deck could be okay. Mega Gardevoir in my eyes is awesome like in Mega Gardevoir/Vespiquen (If you haven't heard of it, then it's only popular in my area I have no clue) I won't get into much detail because Vespiquen is rotating (I'm 75% certain) at worlds. That's all I really wanted to explain, if you need more detail on the deck I'll describe it more, and I don't have a decklist yet because I am waiting for Burning Shadows to build it. That's all I really wanted to say, tell me your favorite darkrai deck below, and have a great rest of your day!

I am not so sure this will be "the biggest" card to come out of the set. While I agree that it has potential, I was thinking it would be more useful in something like a Rainbow Road deck similar (or in conjunction with) Ho-Oh from way back that also propagates itself onto your bench. While I agree with your idea about M Gardevoir, there is already a card that works this way and is a part of almost all expanded M Gardevoir decks already: Exeggcute. Darkrai isn't bringing enough to the table outside of its ability in a M Gardevoir deck to really be useful. I get the idea with the Lasers and powering one up and all that jazz. I just think you have better options in expanded.

Standard, I think this card plays in a few different decks. Not so Turbo Darkrai, Hypno Darkrai, and maybe some variations using Serperior, Salazzle, or Ariados (Ariados being the one I would *not* use due to the inability to tag grass types). The card flat out doesn't hit hard enough to be its own deck, so it is a finisher or a helper. It ultimately isn't the star of any deck. It could potentially be a good card for M Gardevoir in Standard decks to fulfill the role Exeggcute does in Expanded, but you still run into the issue of "can I ever actually use the GX attack" and in standard, the answer is definitely no making it a massive 2 prize liability if you ever start it. Other decks I can think of that might run it would be Xerneas Break as a freebie energy stash. Primarina if anyone can ever actually make that thing work (good luck with that). Huntail / Delphox though neither would be ideal. And maybe if we are stretching, something with Ninja Boy and a low energy requirement.

I think the best thing about Darkrai GX is its speed and how easy it is to get him set up, especially in Expanded. I've recently saw a deck used by Daniel Altavilla in which Darkrai GX was the main attacker. He used Hypnotoxic laser Virbank City Gym and choice band to increase Dark Cleave's damage output (130 + 30 [choice band] + 30 poison damage= 190). In expanded you can set up a darkrai GX using max elixir, dark patch, and restoration ability, meaning setting up a Darkrai GX will be very fast and you can usually outpace decks like Gardevior that need time to set up and evolve. Hypnotoxic Laser also has great synergy with Dead End GX. Daniel Altavilla also used the Darkrai EX from Dark Explorers for free retreat, a battle compressor engine to thin out his deck/ get darkrai gxs in the discard/get supporters in the discard to use vs seeker.

In standard, there really isnt much to work with. For now, the most popular partner for Darkrai GX is Darkrai EX with Dark Pulse, but it really isnt as good as the traditional Turbo Dark. I feel that Zoroark GX would be a great partner for Darkrai GX in Standard, but the inability to OHKO things like Gardevior GX, Golisopod GX, and Espeon GX makes Darkrai really not so good.

I really like Darkrai GX's ability, you will NEVER run out of Darkrai GXs to attack with. His attack is is too mediocre... but 2HKOing every thing is not bad, provided can last long enough and your set up is fast. I can see the new Nihilego GX being another great partner for Darkrai GX, but I think Darkrai GX will never get to anywhere past tier 2/3.
