What deck will win worlds Contest!

Well who isn't I bet people from Japan already wonder what Ty Wheeler's deck is going to be at worlds. Also does anyone know who the Japan National Champions are?
Well that's the issue. There were Japanese Nats due to the earthquakes this year. I'm hoping to see many Japanese players make it through grinder... a worlds without Japanese players is a worlds I don't wanna be in :< It would make me feel all empty inside not getting to play against them... such fun people ;D

Also, decks themselves can certainly be good and bad. Magneboar is fairly poor right now as it just gets outsped by about everything. If I had to guess, a Yanmega variant will win (that's general, huh?). I'd put Megazone on top, but in actuality, I'd imagine Stage 1s and Megazone will come out about equal.

Oh yeah I forgot about that tradegy. But if you look at the official Pokemon 2011 World Championships website's page that shows all the players that are going through invite then you will see these players that are going:

Yuka Furusawa (World Champion in the juniors division @ Worlds 2010) ( But she is now in the Seniors division)

Hiroki Yano (2006 World Champion in Juniors division, 2nd place @ Worlds 2007 in Juniors Division, and 3rd place @2010 Worlds in seniors Division)

Yuta Komatsuda (world Champion @ 2010 Worlds in Masters Division)

What deck do you guys think the Japanese will be playing at worlds?

That is kind of hard to decide but I think 1 of them could play Kingdra/Fraligatr/Beartic.

Bearctic will not be legal in tournament play until after worlds and the release of the US BW2 set.

My guess would be that with the diverse amount of playable cards, Japan will either bring a sort of toolbox deck (possibly with Mew Prime) or another unheard of counter to the US meta.

They were successful with Lostgar because they were able to play it with claydol so they could seeker and get draw, and still be able to swarm gengars. Lostgar highly depends on going first against most of the top decks. They won't play lostgar in the grinder for sure because it is hard to take prizes, and they might only have 45 minutes per match. I think that they will play the same things as us.

I heard it would be an hour per round but I may be wrong. But yeah you are right. So they could still play ReshiBoar right. And I now I think they will play Stage 1 Rush. Also I heard that Yuta Komatasuda might play Stage 1 Rush.

There is a very small chance of them having some sort of a secret deck because there are very few playable cards that are legal right now. I thought that the nationals format would be completely predictable without any secret decks, but Justin Williams came in and went 8-1 with sharpedo, so who knows.

One of my Japanese friends told me about their Gengar Yanmega builds, but I have had zero success with it and would rather kingdra > Gengar. I have been told that Japanese players seem to really like Magnezone, so they'll probably stick with MegaZone with some off-the-wall tech of some sort.

They had lostgar in a PT-On format.... It won because they have a longer time limit and 30 card decks

with such a small pool of cards to work with i'm not sure if there are anymore "top secret" decks left. my guess is one of the top decks right now will win worlds.

Well there is one deck that is still a secret deck. That deck is Tyram. But it won't be secret if Ty W tells us what it is.

I haven't thought of a name for it yet.

I think that TyRam will win at least one division. Anyone disagree?

Come on guys! Ty is clearly trolling us. He said in this thread that he's playing Speed Patrat >.< He is going to win worlds with it too. Stop being so gullible >.<

I think TyRam will certainly get Top 2 in at least one division, and it may win one as well. I'd imagine Stage1 Tool Box wins a division and then some Yanmega variant wins the third.
