You get 6 packs, open them, construct a deck with those cards using your own basic energy cards, 40 cards a deck, then play games against opponents with 4 prizes instead of 6.
^Thats a sealed event. Booster drafts are similar, but you open a pack and pick a card out of it and pass it to the left/right. This is done until there are no cards left from the first set of packs, then repeated until all 6 packs are opened. Then you play 3 games (usually) with 4 prizes, and there are good prizes on the line for a draft.

Each player is givin 6 packs. When the judge says open your pack, you open it and pick 1 card from it. Then when the judge says pass, each player gives the rest of his pack to the person next to him and you keep picking cards in this way until the packs are all out. After you do this for the next 5 packs, you are givin basic energy and must make a deck.

No you pass the other cards (9,8,7...) until the pack runs out.

Cards in the pack....it starts with 10 and as people get 1 card, the amount goes down (9,8,7...).
