BW/BW2 What do you think will the new exclusive/enhanced feature for the Dsi be?

Black and White will be DSi exclusive, i.e. not compatible with the DS Lite at all. http://pokebeach.com/2010/05/reshiram-and-zekrom-dragon-types-new-black-white-factoids
So Pal Park for GBA games probably won't happen, unless they make some sort of GBA cart. reader that the DSi could wirelessly connect to, similar to DS download and play, to transfer Pokemon from RSE/FrLg to Pal Park.
 
Why does everyone assume R/S are getting remakes?
Only reason HGSS and FRLG had one where because R/B and G/S where incompatible with ANYTHING R/S and up.

If anything just unlocks extra battle features, I mean of course the image use for Pokemon battles

I can see a lot of flaws with that design, but I'm only one person. There are hundreds of people at Nintendo. To prove my point, I'd have never thought of a PokeWalker. (Genius!)

Uhh what are you talking about. B&W will be compatible with ALL types of DSs.

Here where I disagree. Neither the DS or the DS lite had 3D capability, while the DSi uses it's camera to portray 3D images.

I really don't think B/W will be compatible with the DS or the DS lite. The DSi is the way of the future!(Teleports away)

It's already been confirmed that they'll be playable on all DS systems.

That's the first thing we learned about the games, actually.

Okay, the news you linked to is titled "Reshiram and Zekrom's Type, Games ENHANCED for DSi, Zoroark's English Name."

....Do you know what 'enhanced' means? If it were only playable on the DSi it would say "Games EXCLUSIVE to DSi" or something like that.

*sigh* I'm thinking it's camera-involved as well. Here's to customizeable trainers by digitizing your face! (I know that's way out there)

Everyone assumes they'll get remakes because there seems to be a pattern, Red and Green were remade gen III (Because RBY/GSC were not compatible with RS), then Gold and Silver were remade gen IV I guess for all of Jhoto pokemon.

Also, I assume if they did release remakes, they would be on the "3DS", which most likely won't have a gba slot, making RSE/FRLG incompatible. Kanto pokemon would still be available (HGSS), but Hoenn pokemon would be less common on DS games.

I dont think there will be R/S remakes. First of all, the games werent that great. Second, I think that they remade G/S for all the kids who never had a chance to play them. R/S came for all the next generations of kids, and they still have acces to it.

As for the features and to be back on topic, I think they will make something with the Trainer Cards and use actual pictures.
 
I had another idea, what if, in Black and White, you could go back and visit all the regions, Gen 1, Gen 2, Gen 3, and Gen 4? I know It'd be a little redundant, but I've always wanted to see a Pokemon game where you could go back to the previous regions. It seems stupid that you can't, and It'd be easier to complete the National Pokedex, and It'd be cool to see the regions redone on every new game. Of course, Nintendo wouldn't make remakes, therefore losing money, so it's not a great idea, but It'd be cool.

Is It'd a real abbreviation, for it and would?

And scratch the Idea of the DSi being just one screen, that seems crazy in retrospect.

What If they made it do you could Photograph your pokemon cards, and unlock an area where you could capture the pokemon you photographed?

I doubt they'd do that exactly, but maybe something like the old e-reader. A little barcode on Pokemon cards and the game reads them with the camera, kind of like that Microsoft tag reader, and gives you items or even pokemon.
 
I doubt we'll get anything important to gameplay, because otherwise they would have made the games DSi Exclusive.

I'm guessing that the DSi could use the camera to make the pseudo-3D effect in some areas, whereas if it was played on a DS/Lite it will just play similar to the top of the lighthouse in HGSS.

What I'd LIKE, but we probably won't get, is the ability to play songs from your SD card over the game's music. Also, maybe a button combination could take a screenshot of the top screen, and save the image to the SD card? (For example L+R takes a screenshot).
 
i really hope nothing, or nothing significant. :/ i will not buy a Dsi when i already have a ds lite, that works fine.

Well, we know there's going to be something. But it won't be anything significant, because if it was needed then the games would have to be marketed for Nintendo DSi only.
 
Ryu Shoji: ...That's like saying colours in G/S wasn't significant.

It might (most likely, really) be something quite significant, because they want people to buy the DSi/XL/3DS ASAP.

Colours in G/S really wasn't significant in terms of gameplay.
