What does Gothitelle mean?

RE: Gothitelle is coming back guys :)...

I don't think it will be that popular, between the popularity of Virizion EX and Garbodor, Goth is going to have issues with a good chunk of the metagame. Plus Blastoise runs at least 2 Keldeo EX anyways. I'm not saying that Goth won't be playable or that no one will try running it, I'm just saying it won't be as dominating as it was last season. However with that said, I still think its a good deck with the way the new tournament round structure works it actually favors decks like Goth and Garbodor, all you have to do is win game 1 and if it takes most of the time for the round if you don't complete round 2 you win.

RE: Gothitelle is coming back guys :)...

I don't think Gothitelle / Accelgor will ever be a competitive deck again. Virizion / Mewtwo and Virizion / Genesect will get even better with the next set, and this has a literal auto loss to them. Genesect and Ninetales will also be played for their Catcher-like abilities, and those 2 cards just wreck Gothitelle. I just don't see Gothitelle / Accelgor coming back.

I have to agree with Cortel here. People will play Gothitelle, and if they play it with Accelgor and dodge Virizions all day then they should win. Another deck with potential is Gothitelle/Reuniclus.

>Against Plasma: Goth with mirror out wins
>Against Darkrai: Full setup with Mime, 1 Goth, and 1 Reuniclus at least wins
>Against Genesect: Get a mirror on Goth and get Reuniclus out
>Against Virizion/Mewtwo: you lose :(
>Against Blastoise: Hope you go first
>Against Garbodor: Just run one Tool Scrapper

So it seems decent (yes I've tested it), but if theres 50% or more of a combination of Blastoise and Mewtwo decks then just don't play it. Of course, it does need that darn Tropical beach.

Wouldn't the Genesect matchup be atrocious? They can just go around Gothitelle with Red Signal and kill the Reuniclus.

What exactly is the plan with this deck?

I kinda feel like Gothitelle / MegaSaur / Virizion might be played to a point.

And exactly how are you going to get Gothitelle into the Active spot to lock items for a turn, hm?
You cannot run Gothitelle unless you're either attacking with Gothitelle or using a hit-and-run attack. The whole point is to end the turn with Gothitelle, as well as have it Active as often as possible; M-Venusaur can't do that for you. In fact, your idea basically shoots itself in the foot by trying to do too many things at once.

A friend of mine is using Gothitelle / Reuniclus / Palkia-EX (Strafe) / Celebi-EX (Wind Whisk) with a moderate amount of success. It's quite slow, but it stops your opponent from doing much of anything.

Forgot Goth needs to be active. Whoops. ^^'

Right, my bad. How about just don't bench anything in that matchup, except when you're about to be KOd by emerald slash?

Silly idea, you will die. KO'd because laser emerald slash with virbank is 80, so then you just catcher with red signal out onto the newly laid gothita and boom your plan falls apart. also Genesect just snipes your bench all day everyday.

Goth won't play such a big role this year. It's time has passed. Worlds is a great example: Almost no one played goth, since it was so easy to tech against. Its best match up this year is Darkrai (and Ho-Oh if it makes a comeback), but all other decks are going to be a challenge. Blastoise got to many Keldeos and Genesect got Virizion.
