I like a medium paced meta. I started Compettavily at the release of SV and I have caught on pretty good. I like sp, but they just kinda rule the meta. But by the look of some Br reports sp is starting to see a little less play

Heck no, I think they put a interesting twist into the game. The only problem with them is that none of them really fit into the metagame right now, but I think that will change when Darkrai/Cresslia legend comes out.

Really the game is so fast past, it's really hard to keep up, I mean literally it's hard to keep up. Watch this:

I think that the Legend sets are helping pokemon a lot more than they are hurt pokemon. If the cards were always Lv.X's it would be boring, it is good to change it up a bit to keep everyone interested to the fullest.

I started around the time of Fossil/Team Rocket sets came out. I believe that draw support has been cut down (since 3rd gen with supporter's limitation), we all loved Hitmonchan - Haymaker all the way!

Remember the 3 main decks? We even had a stall deck back then. There was:
Haymaker - Hitmonchan/Machop/Electabuzz/4 PlusPower/4 GoW
Rain Dance - Blastoise/Gyarados/Pokemon Breeder/4 GoW
Invisible Stall - Alakazam/Mr. Mime/Chansey/4 Scoop Up

With the increased amount of cards, we have more different decks to contend with, although LuxChomp seems to more consistantly work, many times it's the opening hand that a Flyphan or Luxpluff works the best.

Things we have to remember is that although attacks are cheaper, opponents have more HP, by and large...Charizard and Chansey...those were the days, untouched for a long time, I don't remember the next pokemon with 120 HP was, and then Nintendo broke that barrier with 130 or more, and now Wailord has a whopping 200HP. Not that he's really playable, but still a pain.

When was the last time we had a decent stall deck? Imposter Professor Oak...that's what I'm talkin' about!

Also, with Claydol being so bloody popular, people worked around it to focus part of that deck. With Luxray GL X, it was easy. With anything that can snipe for 80 damage, it was easy. But many deck strategies are based around "Ok, what can I put in here to get rid of their 2 Claydols.

Let's get some more competitive decks without Luxray in every one, but Spiritomb is necessary for Evolution decks to compete with SP engines.
