Pokemon What if Pokemon Gyms Had Two Types?

Ooo I'm really liking these ideas. It would be great to see completely different gym set-ups.

They could be based on all of the different biomes. Like the beach, tropical rainforest, savanna, grasslands (temperate), arctic, pine forest, ocean, sky, etc. (beach, sky and ocean aren't technically biomes... )

Maybe a fossil/ancient Pokemon based gym set in a mountain/mine with excavations to find Fossils in the ground..?
Fossil set up I'm thinking of:

Cradily
Aerodactyl/Archeops
Armaldo
Carracosta/Omastar/Kabutops
Bastiodon
Rampardos

Only fossil based Pokemon I can think of

Going along with the "ancient relics" kind of theme, perhaps Claydol, Golurk, Spiritomb, and Cofagrigus could be added?

I beat you to that idea.

-A ruins themed gym with Rock, Ground, Psychic, and Ghost types.

What pokemon would you pick? Ruins mostly make me think of unkown... lol.
Oh, and Claydol.

Let's see:

Claydol, Golurk, Cofagrigus, Spiritomb, Sigilyph, Hippowdon, Krookodile, Lunatone, Solrock, Xatu, Bronzong, maybe some fossil Pokemon. That kind of stuff.

I didn't realise... But to be fair, I was predominanetly thinking of fossils, whilst you were thinking of the Pokemon you posted.

A gym with a time machine in it, to battle against all of the prehistoric pokemon would be awesome! Ive always been a fan of the fossils except im not a huge armaldo fan. Were there fossils in dp/pt?

Ramparados and Bastiodon but nobody remembers those losers anyway.

What I'd like to see more is Gyms that have special rules to make them more challenging, like some Battle Frontier places. Maybe another thing like the first Unova gym except more complex and later in the game; the gym is a huge maze and the gym leader's pokemon depend on the paths you took.

IMO the battle frontier was my favorite part of any pokemon game ever made. I haven't played it since I was like ten but I thought it was so awesome just cause it was so hard. ( I did not know how to EV train at the time).

Ah. Well I think fossils is too narrow a theme, every fossil is Rock type. Meanwhile, my ruins theme uses four different types.
