Place a Shock-wave marker on 1 of your opponent's Pokémon.

If the Defending Pokémon is a Stage 2 Evolved Pokémon, this attack does 70 damage plus 20 more damage. 70+

Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon that has any Shock-wave markers on it. That Pokémon is Knocked Out.

These are Tyranitar EX's attacks. What is a shock wave marker? Just curious...

It's something Pokemon invented back in DF. They never used it after that though. If you buy a Dragon Frontiers theme deck, you'll get 1 or 2 Shock Wave markers and 1 or 2 Imprison markers (see Gardevoir ex).

EDIT: What it really is just a marker for Tyranitar ex. As far as I know, he's the only guy who uses that.

It was a pretty stupid idea in my opinion, they could amke the attacks do those effects without the markers. For example, they could combine elctromark with shockwave to make an attack like Absol G's Doom News(MoR).

Well his third attack seemed cool...also, T-Tar ex has 4 attacks...its crazy lol. But do like shockwave markers go away when you retreat them on the bench? Cause if not, Shock Wave is an auto KO...

Both Shockwave and Imprison counters can be placed on Benched Pokémon and will not go away when Benched.

They do go away when evolved though unless I am mistaken. *Waits for Lou to confirm*

They only affect you if your opponent uses the attack Shockwave on Tyranitar EX. It doesn't do anything beyond being a special counter on one of your pokemon.

Tropius from DF allowed you to get rid of the markers via his Power.

Don't ask me how I remember this. :3

dmaster out.

Basically, you would use the Shockwave attack to knock out one of your opponent's pokemon with a shockwave counter on it. It is only a ko and doesn't do damage so it would be blocked by Unown G. It was semi-popular, Flygon EX+Rayquaza EX was a good deck back then and was more popular in my area.

Why are people still posting here?

The Shock-wave marker and Imprison marker were introduced in EX Dragon Frontiers. Tyranitar ex d is the only card that uses the Shock-wave marker, while Gardevoir ex d is the only user of the Imprison marker. Both markers were included in the EX Dragon Frontiers theme decks.

Electromark (Tyranitar ex δ - Dragon Frontiers)

Q. What ways can a Pokémon get rid of an attached "Imprison" marker or "Shock-wave" marker?
A. Evolving, devolving, leveling up (i.e. LV.X), leaving play, and Tropius' "Tropical Heal" Poké-POWER are currently the only ways to get rid of an Imprison or Shock-wave Marker. Retreating or benching does NOT get rid of the marker. (May 31, 2007 PUI Rules Team)

The Shock-wave marker is put on a Pokemon using Tyranitar ex d's first attack, Electromark. The third attack, Shock-wave, automatically KOs anything with a Shock-wave marker on it.

Other than enabling a Pokemon to get hit by the Shock-wave attack, the Shock-wave marker does absolutely nothing. It's not a Special Condition and cannot be removed by things that get rid of Special Conditions.

It's not as game-breaking as you might think; as mentioned before, it's blocked by anything that blocks effects of attacks, as well as any Pokemon that blocks effects from Pokemon-ex. It also takes two turns to execute, and a 2HKO on something is normal anyway.
