What is the best eeveeloution? I just hatched a shiny eevee and can't decide which evolution?

Vaporeon
-if it has wish, its a great supporter (quite bulky), but for generic straight forward battles use another one.
Jolteon
-if you just want to run over something, this is your pick. AMAZING speed coupled with serious sp.atk.
Flareon
-probably the worst choice period. great attack, but barely anything to use it with.
Espeon
-probably the #2 after Jolteon. It has Sp.Atk and decent speed.
Umbreon
-works as annoyer/staller, or wish-support, but no good for dealing direct damage.
Leafeon
-Its....okay I guess. get some swords dance and leaf blade your way through.
Glaceon
-Its...not as much okay. Crippling type makes its huge defense pointless, and one of the worst type coverage doesnt help it as a wannabe sweeper.

Aesthetically, I like Glaceon. Vaporeon is the best IMO. Run it with rain, hydration and rest will heal all your HP.
^ Hydration is a DW ability.
I doubt this guy is wondering which is best for competitive battling, if that were the case he would've already had a Pokemon in mind by its Nature. It's more likely he's using it in-game.
I would say go with Vaporeon, it's versatile and it has Water Absorb. Jolteon is okay but can't take a physical hit, Espeon is outclassed without its DW ability (which is only useful for competitive battling anyways), Umbreon can't attack for its life, Leafeon is also okay but can't take a hit for its life, Glaceon has typing issues, and Flareon has no moves.
That's just my opinion though. Since it's in-game, it doesn't matter that much so you could just go with whichever is your favorite. Alternatively, you could wait until X/Y comes out so you can evolve it into Sylveon or another new Eeveelution (if there is one), but you would need a 3DS for that.

It depends on a variety of things.
1: Is this for competitive play or regular playthough?
This is the biggest question. Espeon probally is best for Competitive play when it has Wish+Magic Bounce (it's DW ability). This bounces back hazards (Spikes, Stealth Rock, ect.) or other annoying things (Spore, Toxic, ect.). Unless you have a Rain team, then Vaporeon (with Wish+Hydration [DW Ability]) can be quite the tank and heals it's own status problems. This let's it use Rest and then wake up right away, or not have to worry about being poisoned.
If it's just for regular playthough, then you should answer these other questions. I always try to answer these when I do a run though, and they can help you find just what you need.
2: What game are you playing?
Depending on the game you are playing, you can only get certain evolutions.
I'm guessing it's Black or White, so you have access to the 7 current eeveeolutions.
3: What pokemon did you start with?
For regular game play, EVs, DW abilities, ect. aren't really that important. Type matchup is what really makes or breaks a battle. You're team should have different types to cover weaknesses of others. If you started with Tepig, I wouldn't recomend getting Flareon.
i.e. In my LeafGreen run though, I chose Flareon because I started with Venusaur, already had a Gyarados (didn't want 2 water types), and wanted a Magneton as an electric type.
However, I'm guessing you already finished the game, and that it's not FR or LG.
So it doesn't matter unless you really want to add it to your in-game strongest team.
4: What do you want it to do for your team?
Do you want it to cover a weakness? Do you want it be a game finisher? A support pokemon?
i.e. Vaporeon with Baton Pass+Acid Armor can help support the team by giving any member some extra defense if you're worried about them surviving strong attacks. Also the first three eeveelutions (Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon) are all immune to moves that match their type (Water, Electric, Fire) using their normal abilities. So (i.e.) if one of your strongest is weak to Fire, Flareon woul dbe a nice balenece since it's Flash Fire Ability prevents it from being hurt by Fire type moves.
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a link, but I would recomend checking Bulbapedia, as that site can give you each of their move sets and give you their base stats as well.

Jolteon. S/he (it) has AMAZING speed. And, not to mention, a boosted sp.atk. Jolteon for sure.
I have actually been contemplating waiting till x y and using it for the new eeveeloution . Still can't get over in all the versions I have played white 2 I got a shiny LOL
None of the 4th generation Eeveelutions. Glaceon has dumb anime bangs and Leafeon has a big dumb head and looks awkward.
I'd say go with Kecleon or Lumineon.

The one that I think looks the best as a shiny is Umbreon. Espeon would be my second choice.
I recomend Jolteon.
I recommend leafeon: Hi defense, and decent attack, with moves like sword dance, synthesis leaf blade and last resort is very useful unless up against special attackers
