I've seen a few sites selling Japanese Happy Birthday Pikachu, prices range from about $90-$130.
Is there only one "kind"(like in one set) of this card?
I'm so tempted to buy it. >_>

the japanese happy birthday pikachu is kinda common especially online.i find the 2nd version the more rarer one than the 1st version.the 1st version was a mail in one and the 2nd one i think was a coro coro magazine issue not sure on that though

In terms of legitimate, non tournament, english cards I believe Charizard first edition shadowless from the Base Set in mint condition would be worth a heap. Or charizard EX...

the rarest and most ekpensive card in the world is the base set raichu prerelease which they only made 9 of and each head of WOTC got one and the last one that sold was at a price of $10,000 so i definatly think its the rarest card ever(unfortunatly my brother collects raichus so i guess he's not getting a full collection)

in english pre-release raichu is like the rarest.1st edition charizard from base set is rare as well its more of the grading card wise.in terms of also japanese the pikachu illustrator is also another card thats rare

How can one tell which is the first one or second one?
I would like the first one if possible, maybe.

Do you guys think that it's worth it to get one?
I guess it's not THAT rare, but it's still somewhat valuable isn't it?

Current most expansive legal cards are Luxray GL Lv.X and Flygon Lv.X (no suprise). The Great Raichu is also pretty expensive, if you can actually see it before it's snatched up. 1st edition Charizard's are expensive wen they shouldn't be..... same with Lugia ex and Charizard ex.

Yup, the rarest card in the world is Prerelease Raichu. It was created as a mistake and accidentally given a prerelease stamp. Only 8-11 exist.

If you do some poking around in PokeGym, I'm sure you'll find the full story. Just google "Prerelease Raichu" and you should get the PokeGym article.

the japanese trophy cards are really expensive and they're just trainer cards... it's not even a pokémon.
I also don't understand why that prerealese Raichu is so expensive. I mean, it's just a copy of a regular card with a prerelease symbol... For me, it has no value, I wouldn't pay 1 cent for it...

kinda offtopic but I bought my Charizard ex for 25 Euros which is around 33 dollars...

Espeon Umbreon prime/ star go for lot Luxray Lv. X is going for like 60 and I believe that charizard star is also alot

Well Here's my top 5 of overall most expensive
1. World Championship Trophy Cards
2. Prerelease Raichu
3. Other JPN Trophy Cards.
4. Raichu Prime
5. Japanese Happy Birthday Pikachu

Top 5 Legal Cards
1. Luxray GL LV.X
2. Flygon LV.X
3. Gengar LV.X
4. Time Space Disortion
5. Leafeon LV.X

Honorable Mentions
Cresselia LV.X, Garchomp LV.X, Uxie LV.X(only because price has dropped drastically on eBay), Espeon Prime, Umbreon Prime, and Charizard Base Set PSA Graded 10

Also I don't mention Umbreon/Espeon Prime because i personally haven't seen one on ebay yet.

going above a hundred isn't hard in the collector's era. Lots of cards do, PR Raichu goes about 9ooo, typically.
