Pokemon What is Your Favorite Region? Why?

Hello everybody! I was wondering what everyone's favorite region is.

Give an explanation why you like this region.

My favorite region is Kanto. When I got home with my first pokemon red version game I liked how the region looked. I liked all of the cities, towns(etc.) That's why Kanto is my favorite region:D
 
Sinnoh, with Hoenn a close second. Both of them are perfect for exploration, they're large and open ended, they have tons of optional areas, and there's plenty of diverse environments. None of the other regions even come close, Kanto and Johto are too small, and Johto, Unova, and Kalos are incredibly linear. And as for why Sinnoh over Hoenn? For one, Hoenn has tons of empty water routes which are somewhat hard to navigate, and second there's not as many optional areas as Sinnoh.
 
For me, that decision is very hard to make. Unova was really my favourite region, but after reading Pokemon Adventures Manga, I can't decide which ones to choose.

The Manga gave me a taste of:
-The heroes of Kanto and Johto,
-The natural beauty of hoenn
-And the complexity of the Sinnoh region.

Pokemon X and Y gave me a new depth to the Kalos region, so basically I love all the regions the same, even the side series regions like the Orre, Almia, Oblivia, Ransei and the others.
 
I really love Hoenn. It has a great variety of landscapes. There's a desert, beautiful seas and underwater areas to explore, a volcano, a city in the woods, and even the normal routes look really pretty! The games itself took a huge leap in the third generation. The graphics were improved a lot, there were secret bases, and everything just looked very colourful.

The games took another huge leap in the 6th generation. The better graphics and having places in 3D look amazing. I really can't wait to see Hoenn like this!
 
I really like Kalos. I like the fact that Kalos has a great variety in Pokemon, I like pretty much every location. X and Y is also the first games I owned in person, so I think that might also have a impact on my liking of Kalos :)
 
I am still getting to know Kalos, though I really love what I see of it and especially the huge array of Pokemon and variations. But of games I've got all through, I have to say Hoenn. I have a lot of affection for Kanto from childhood, but I absolutely adore Emerald and can't wait for the new versions of Sapphire and Ruby to come out.

One main reason for that is Ralts. Fell in love with that pokemon the moment I helped Wally catch his (-_-) and then had to go back and get one myself. Currently raising two in Kalos with the hope of one Gardevoir and one Gallade this time.

It also has Oddish and Wobbuffet, so is pretty much perfect from my standpoint :D.

I haven't played any games from Sinnoh yet though. So it might change when I eventually get around to play those.
 
Mine is Kanto.

I bought Red version when it first came out and loved that game. But I also like Johto and Kalos.
 
Hoenn. Hoenn is a very beautiful region--it pretty much have everything. I had a great experience surfing the sea routes, fighting swimmers and looking for stuff and Pokemon underwater. It reminds me so much of my childhood, I really loved it. And now, I'm so ecstatic to try it out again in ORAS.
 
Sinnoh for me, I just found it really fun to explore and was amazing playing through it the first time, especially when it was improved significantly in platinum.The towns were to fun to go through and the routes were fairly interesting, especially the second half of the game. They also had a variety of great landmarks to visit.
 
Hoenn, and the reasoning is the same as some users have said above: great diversity of habitats, places, ranging from warm beaches, volcano, desert, cold cave, floating town, a town with houses on trees, a town in the crater of a former volcano, the diving areas. It's just so much fun.

That said, I confess that Kanto still has a big place in my heart since it was where I started.
 
Johto, for the memories. I´m a fan since the first generation, but I started to play the GB games in the second. Then I really got used to Gold version. I always liked to explore everything. When HGSS came out, I was thrilled, because of the new features we got to explore.
 
I love the Kalos region because there are tons of new things to do there like the video shoot in Lumiose city or shop for new outfits in the different stores in different cities.
 
My favourite would have to be Hoenn! Why:
  1. It one of the first regions I played!
  2. All my favourite Pokemon can be found in that region (ORAS)
  3. It has my favourite legendary Pokemon (Kyogre, Rayquaza)
  4. My favourite villainous teams (I really like their new costumes!).
  5. Found in cool titles based on jewels!
